Micheal Moore / Covington Update - GO MR. MOORE!!!
http://www.michaelmoore.com/words/message/index.php?messageDate=2005-09-07

<SNIP>
"My staff and the vets spend their 18-hour days delivering food and water throughout the city of New Orleans and the surrounding areas. What they have seen is appalling. I have asked them to post their daily diaries on my website (www.michaelmoore.com) along with accompanying photos and video so you can learn what is really going on. What the media is showing you is NOT the whole story. It is much, much worse and there is still little being done to bring help to those who need it.

Our group has visited many outlying towns and villages in Mississippi and Louisiana, places the Red Cross and FEMA haven't visited in over a week. Often our volunteers are the first relief any of these people have seen. They have no food, water or electricity. People die every day. There are no TV cameras recording this. They have started to report the spin and PR put out by the White House, the happy news that often isn't true ("Everyone gets 2,000 dollars!").

The truth is that there are dead bodies everywhere and no one is picking them up. My crew reports that in most areas there is no FEMA presence, and very little Red Cross. It's been over two weeks since the hurricane and there is simply not much being done. At this point, would you call this situation incompetence or a purposeful refusal to get real help down there?"

4. Oh, I hope so....
I know there are many people willing to share their stories, not to mention any DUer is more qualified to run FEMA than Brown was!

Go Mikey!

3. Why does Michael Moore hate America?
Can't he just shut up! Shut up! Shut.....up!

He should know by now that NO ONE IS TO BE RESCUED unless and until there is a member of the Bush Administration within photo-op view of the activities!

I don't know about MM for Pres but his documentary work would be an excellent hub from which to grow a new independent media with portals on the WWW for podcasting. It could be done.

13. Good for Michael Moore! The Vets for Peace, out of Willits, CA, are a
great group! I would love to see them do a movie!

I would also love to see Michael Moore as President, if, for no other reason, his looks! Imagine no blow dried hairdos! Imagine no immaculate suits! Imagine no rolled up sleeves of immaculate shirts on the beach! Imagine no million dollar dental work smile! Imagine a real person as president! It's awesome to think on.

But it doesn't matter what I want, or you want, or the majority wants. Bushite companies control the vote count with SECRET, PROPRIETARY programming code--code so secret that not even our elected secretaries of state are permitted to review it. Not that they would care. They signed the "trade secret" contracts on our behalf, selling away our right to vote for future job offers and lavish lobbying junkets (Beverly Hilton, August, 2005, yet another). Dems and Repubs both. We are out here on our own, folks, trying to have a democracy, with both major parties beholden to Diebold and ES&S for "election."

It's nuts.

Michael, I beg you! Lead a party to throw these election theft machines into 'Boston Harbor' NOW! (--or a Louisiana levee might do!).
