Gretna Police and negligent homicide????
I'm wondering if the Gretna police, who turned people away from the bridge at gunpoint, will ALSO be charged with negligent homicide. Children at the convention center died of dehydration because they couldn't get out of New Orleans, didn't they?

BATON ROUGE, La. - The husband-and-wife owners of a New Orleans-area nursing home where 34 people died in Hurricane Katrina's floodwaters were charged Tuesday with negligent homicide.

In effect, their inaction resulted in the deaths of these patients," Louisiana Attorney General Charles Foti said.

2. The inaction of FEMA resulted in deaths
at the superdome, convention center and on the highway where evacuees were put. Not to mention the ones in their attics.

7. Anderson Cooper tonight told the story of a Dr.
and his staff that stayed through the storm with their patients taking care of them for days in the dark, who then were evacuated to the NO airport. Once there, they were surrounded by sick patients. Even though they themselves were nearing exhaustion, they asked if they could help care for the patients. They were told by FEMA for liability reasons, they couldn't let them attend to the sick, but they could mop the floor instead. The Dr. and nurses mopped. As the Dr. witnessed patients dying around him, tears began to wash down his face. He wanted to help and was prevented. FEMA should be charged with homicide as well (and all the way to the top "Yer doin a good job, Brownie")

8. The liability excuse is BULLSHIT - "Good Samaritan" laws would apply.
