i haven't seen it but my daughter's high school american government class showed about four minutes of it to her class "to counter michael moore's movie" but ... unfortunately ... they didn't show anything of michael moore's movie.

my daughter was so pissed off about this she can't even remember the clip she saw (a guy was standing by the brooklyn bridge) and she thinks it was something about the patriot act.

i'm starting a short list on this teacher--
her first mistake was telling the class they were going to see a movie "called wag the dog which was about bill clinton".

hummmm.....i want my daughter to ask this teacher if she would like to borrow my dvd to show the class another movie about bill clinton called: the hunting of a president.

anyway--who's seen this farenhype and can it be rented at blockbuster?

7. It's a very good movie

I got it last year for Christmas and watched it and was SOOOOO pissed off. Oh gosh. It will really piss you off. And the little cutie David Brock appears in it. :) You must have this film! I found it at BestBuy for a pretty decent price (around twenty bucks). And how fair of this teacher. :eyes: Yes, he's really going the new Amerika way. :eyes:

I'd contact the teacher YOURSELF and tell them you don't appreciate them showing the counter to Farenheit 911 ---without showing some of the actual film!

Just DEMAND equal coverage for Moore's movie. If this person shows 4 minutes of the repuke propoganda the school should be required to show the class 4 minutes of farenheit 9/11...

If you get the right winger sacked for showing material they've selected, they can do the same to "liberal" teachers.

However, no teacher should be allowed to show propoganda without labeling it as such and showing the counter.

16. before i go to the school i want to rent that movie and have my

kid show me the part this woman played so i know exactly what i'm referring to.

my daughter also said her teacher, on the way to queuing it up, showed michael moore giving a speech saying there was not terror threat--which sounds a bit out of context to me.

jeez--this is her senior year and hopefully they'll be someone else to monitor this kind of crap. she had a photography teacher who played religious music and wore a jesus loves you hat, the school that didn't send notices home last year for parents to opt-out (i had my kid handing out forms that i made up). and now this. now i have to watch that fucking movie that i never wanted to see so i know what the hell i'm arguing! and what they're showing in the classroom.

it's exhausting!

Look at the cast, I'm sure it wasn't meant to hurt Clinton.

As for the anti-Moore movie, I think it would have been acceptable if they showed clips from both movies, but showing only one side in any debate is unacceptable for public school teachers.
