Powell speaks out on Iraq criticised Administration by Michael Stickings
COLIN POWELL, the former US Secretary of State, harshly criticised the Bush Administration yesterday for its failures in Iraq,
calling the country a mess and voicing concerns that it may slide into civil war.

General Powell, who left the Administration in January, also said that his speech in February 2003 to the
UN, making the case for war, was a painful blot on his record.

1. With the amount of dead people that can be chalked up to his little blot,
I really so do not care. MUCH, much too late.

3. He swore to protect and uphold the Constitution, as SOS, didn't he?
But he had a higher allegiance to the neocon power machine, so he failed.

He failed everyone who thought they could trust him to be a force for moderation, and not to allow the car to go off the road.

He failed his country.

Too bad.
