Is there such a service as this?
I'm beyond Bush....I'm thinking more about, and hoping, that American citizens will start paying MORE ATTENTION ACROSS THE BOARD.

We obviously need to clean house. Literally. We need a much more EFFECTIVE government.

The average person isn't going to take the time to check to see what his/her congressmen and congresswomen are actually DOING and how they're voting.

Is there such a service that could provide weekly details such as this for people: a breakdown of pending legislation, and easy instructions as to how to contact their elected officials PRIOR to votes? As well as followups for them to provide feedback to their elected officials regarding votes already made.

It's one thing to get the Bush crowd out of there, but Congress is so corrupt and ineffective that we MUST put attention there and let Congress KNOW that's what we're doing. I know there are many activists here doing all these things....but how do we involve the average citizen more? Dems, Repubs, Independents....everyone.

Those who are online can receive emails and are encouraged to print out the information and distribute to family and friends not online.

What do you think?

1. People have sat and watched for so long.....
while congress passes bill after bill after bill that cut into the poor and help the rich.

The madness has gone unstopped for 5 years now. Katrina has brought some light to these issues but can not stop them. The waves of the new bills passed will be like a Kat 5 for all Americans and there is no high ground for relief.

Impeach Bush would be a start but to repeal the laws passed will never happen and the damage to Americans will never be corrected!

Fight for a new direction!! :kick:

2. Message boards at local stores

That is a good idea. Also we should put them anywhere there is a public message board like at Walmart, (don't shop). I think K Mart has them also. Also a lot of Churches have boards up when you first enter.

If anyone knows of other places that are likely to have announcement boards let us know.
