Repuke legislator busted - blames Chimp before spin takes effect
Boustany three days ago:

Rep. Charles W. Boustany Jr., (R-La.), said he spent the past 48 hours urging the Bush administration to send help. "I started making calls and trying to impress upon the White House and others that something needed to be done," he said. "The state resources were being overwhelmed, and we needed direct federal assistance, command and control, and security -- all three of which are lacking."

Boustany today:

BOUSTANY: most of the red tape and problems have been at the state level. I have to say that the federal response has been focused on new orleans with search and rescue operations which is going very, very well at this stage. but we've had a completely ineffectual state response and this is being borne by the local communities to help now. and I have asked the president to take this into consideration, consider that the state response is completely ineffectual and the full range of social and health care needs needs to be met.

They are at the highest Level...They are the ones with Resources much larger than the City and State..

All we get are EXCUSES and Deflections....Shame on them for not taking responsibility....

4. Does anyone remember "Personal Responsibility™"?
It used to be the Republicans' main mantra.

The Bush Administration appears to have reversed that. I can't recall any foul-up that Bush & Co ever took Personal Responsibility™ for. It's always somebody else's fault. Everybody gangs up on poor little George after somebody else goes and gits him inta trouble.

He seems to forget that you don't have power if you don't assume responsibility.

The George Bushes and Charles Boustanys of the world belong to history. And their roles recorded in that history will not be flattering.

5. Prediction: he will lose his next election. Based upon these words.

I am not kidding. There is a war between the states going on, and this guy took the wrong side. I'm gonna send him an e-mail, since if he gets some feed back from southerners, he might notice and change his tune.

PS left a telephone message at his DC office. Anyone who speaks with a real southern drawl is recommended to do the same.
