RWingnuts are blaming the Mayor of NO
for not being able to maintain Law and Order. Saying the local police cut and run, looted and abandoned it's citizens.

Unbelievable.

2. The local police did not cut and run.
They just refused to kill the looters who were trying to provide relief for themselves and others.

15. Blanco has ordered the guard to shoot now...
so instead we have an escalation...everyone is to blame in this fiasco. The mayor should have evacuated all the people before the storm...at least he should have told them to have 3 days of food and water read like other jurisdictions have always warned people. Blanco should have ordered more troops from the get go...she blew it. Louisiana state guard can only be requisitioned by Louisianas governor. Bush's fema team sucked in terms of response with food and medical. There is NO ONE not to blame. However Blanco did provide school buses to the city before the storm for evacuations. For some reason not everyone wanted to leave.

5. Cut and run?!
Their homes just floated out of the fucking city! I don't call that "cutting and running"!

People forget the "law and order" lived there too. They are also victims.

6. I know - it's disgusting ...
Almost as disgusting as listening to Kyra Phillips GUSH over Bush hugging "average people" in Mississippi. :puke:

Average People my ass! The camera lens was locked in on a "very small area" and ole Bush made sure he was bear hugging some petite woman of color.

Disgusting!

May God bless and keep the Mayor and other good people left in New Orleans. The evil Right Wing minions will be taken care of ... God will give them all *exactly* what they deserve.

The rest of us must help our brothers and sisters in dire straights. :loveya:

7. There's enough blame to go around.
It takes a lot of people to create a mess like this one.

And no one person doing it right could make a huge improvement.

But much of it I'll call a tragedy. In the classical literature sense.

12. Not many conservative are buying it today
That's the funny thing.

The mayor isnt responsible for cutting funds to fema.

The mayor is not responsuble for the Bush cutting funds to levee maintainenc and improvements.

I have seen many Cons to an about face on the administration today. It appears that the Mayor, governor, rep/dem senators of this area screamed their heads off about this for years. Bush just continued cutting funds and taxes.

THe right wing, as voters have had enough of this idiot. Yet, there are still some willing to go down with the ship. They were human garbage to begin with.
