:eyes:...

This is nonsense.. I know that every media guy fancies himself another Edward R Murrow, but enough already.. Hint:.. EVERYONE who is interested in this race has a TV, and they have probably watched enough of these guys to know where they are coming from by now...

Instead of these stupid "moderator-driven" soundbyte fests, why not just give each candidate about 20 minutes, UNINTERRUPTED, to lay out their philosophy.. Give them a bulletpoint list of issues they must address, and then leave it at that..

This is just a thinly-veiled attempt to generate money for tv stations, and to gin up recognition for the "moderators"..

2. I like debates
They help our candidate (whoever he may be) prepare for the debates against Bush in the fall. I see no reason why we shouldn't have a few more; one in South Carolina, one in Michigan etc.

3. Unfortunately,
many people are just now even getting interested in the Democratic primaries. I did an informal survey yesterday, and no one could name all seven candidates; some couldn't name any of them! What I did find was that people are mad at Bush for various reasons, and that they are leaning towards voting Democrat. As one fellow said, "Bush is a one term President".

4. Correct
We need to remember that the vast majority of voters out there, even among Democrats, are NOT political "junkies" like we are. Some people don't even realize that there's an election this year!

9. That is my thought too.
We at DU are not like most of American. We have been paying attention all along. Many people are just now starting to become interested in the election.

8. i say the more the better
let the media whores try and pick apart the demo candidates
that is their nature
but the more people are given a chance to see and hear
Gen. Clark the more traction he gets.
he refuses to allow the whores to put words in his mouth
and he has a spine of steel and a world class mind.

the more the whores try and 'Gore' Clark the more obvious
their right wing leanings show.
this may not arouse the sheeple.
but it will strike a chord with a LOT of decent americans
