Bush broke it, we've bought it.
Those of us who opposed the Iraq misadventure warned that the least bad result likely to come from our invasion would be an Islamic fundamentalist state strongly influenced by Iran. The worst outcome would be a civil, holy war leading to a failed state which would become a hotbed for terrorist training and logistics.
Like the " big fool in the Big Muddy", Bush continues to say push on and the American people's children and wealth are sacrificed to one person's megalomania and his hijacked party's unwillingness to confront the all too clear fact that staying the course is a sure recipe for more disasters to come.
We have to concentrate on winning the Congress in '06 so that impeachment can become a realistic option. We have to take the ground swell of anger and disgust with Prince George and his gang that can't shoot straight and pin it on the entire Republican Party. This country and the world cannot take another 3 years of the bankrupt policies these fools have visited upon us.
