Now and then there is yet another operation in Pakistan and Afganistan, esp. when things here get dire. The last spike in American deaths in Afganistan was when he was "addressing the nation" about Iraq and they desperately wanted to produce Osama for the occasion.

9. One reason why they may not want to ever catch Osama is

if they do, it would show to the world that all we needed to do to punish those who were responsible for 9/11 was to make it a police action rather than go to war against some nation. The question is, if we could capture the ring leader of the attack, why did we need to go to war with two nations who didn't cause the attack? Shouldn't we have, way back then, gone after the perpetrators rather than a nation?

Osama is not the leader of Afghanistan nor is he the leader of Iraq. Once we have captured him we would have captured the leader behind 9/11 making all the other actions seem grossly unnecessary.

Conservatives have always needed a bogeyman to get people to vote for them. We Dems and liberals are the bogeyman too. Communist Russia was the bogeyman until they gave up and tore down the Berlin wall. Dems and liberals took the communists place.
