I was just watching C- Span again. Sometimes I think this country is
heading for a red-blue civil or revolutionary war of some kind. It is divided so badly. Bush and Co. are making such a mess.Three years is a long time. Do you think that could happen?

1. We should split the red&blue states. The blue would have all the money &
brains.

Fuck those Red-state freeloaders!

11. Well I was reading the op as red-blue civil war.
Not a red-blue state thing. I don't know how that would work. I know most red states have very blue areas. So I was just think red vs. blue in a more abstract way than a mere map. I do think that progressives are going to have to resort to force to take our country back.

5. The only problem with that is, I believe the election was stolen and
the red states aren't really red. Sorry, but I'll go to my grave believing that.

7. That's one of my boys.
He happens to be a 20 lb. ocicat. I photoshopped the photo because I didn't like the background and he ended up looking like a lamp.

6. Funny you should say that. I used that term the other day, "civil war."
We have two very different groups in America who believe in two very different things. They also have two very different medias (well, the blogs vs. the MSM) supporting their beliefs. One is based on ideology and the other one on facts. But the one that basis its beliefs on facts, is not in power and is no where able to match the powerful reach of the MSM.

And we all know, that Bush relies on a strong Republican presence for years to come, in order to keep himself out of jail for the abuses he's personally responsible for. What is a good American to do in these cases? I believe the time will come for civil disobedience, but I DO NOT condone violence. The only thing I can think of for the average person is to whip out your camcorders and get shots of these people saying the kind of things that would bring them down, if their right-wing constituents knew they ever said them.

10. I guess your more optimistic than me.
All the killing and lies they've gotten away with. All our right we are hemorrhaging daily. Many can't even provide the basic for themselves from working. How bad will it have to get before it stops?
I just don't see how civil disobedience will get the job done.

I hope your right and I'm wrong.

13. If one photograph is worth a thousand words,
imagine what moving pictures can do? I imagine that somewhere there is a hero in Washington D.C. who may fall on his sword some day to save this country. One camcorder should do it. Personally, I consider this extreme enough since the person will probably serve jail time for taping illegally, but I think that as long as this option is open, there is no need for violence.

14. They WANT that to happen
IMHO the wealthy corporate elite deliberately pit us against one another.

They want reds and blues preoccupied with battling one another over issues like school prayer and abortion, so we won't notice that the middle class is being destroyed.

While we're distracted, the corporate cabal can consolidate its control of the nation, take away most of our freedoms, and reduce the middle and working classes to serfdom.

18. We should be fighting the corporations
Get their charters permanently revoked (so they can't resurface under another name); empty the bank accounts of the thieving CEO's to make them pay back what they stole from employees and shareholders.

Most important, we have to get Supreme court justices on the bench who will likely overturn that 1888 decision that made corporations persons. Revocation of corporate personhood will let us presume them guilty of crimes.

19. Divide & Conquer.
Pit all the "Blue States" against the "Red States"--although the real election maps aren't that cut & dried. And the vote counts being used are suspect in the first place.

people are rewriting the constitution - let them take a copy and rewrite it according to their beliefs. We get to keep our Constitution and Bill of Rights and improve on its interpretations and enforcement according to its original people and secular oriented focus.

This means we can be separate from imperialistic and predatory movements against other people of the world. We won't have to send our children to fight their wars and takeovers.

We can have our separation of church and state and we can be serious about freedoms and address basic problems such as health, home, insurance, education, and opportunity.

This means that corporations would have to make decisions about which half they will do business in and with or whether they can do it in both.
