Just because you went to college and sat though class makes you a follower of Jesus..? Just as if I stood in a garage makes me a car..? Have your forgotten the Passion of the Christ!!! and the thing he spoke?? You have to take a stand for right!! I have..Yes, I get upset as to what the liberals are letting happen to our country... I've not seen change come form passive people.. ! Passivity is what's gotten the abortion machine going and I'm to blame for that and so are you and that blood is on your head as well as mine.. If you vote for a liberal who believe in abortion.. You might just as well be in that room sucking that baby form it's mother body.. Your hands are just as bloody as the doctors who preform the murder.. and YOU will be held accountable as to how you vote.. So if I'm a nutty fruit cake as you say.. Your a butcher of the unborn by your voting practices..
Send you email to all the people on my email list lets see their response to your email as most of them send me the same type of email I sent you that upset you..

My Response
------------------
Rosie,
Once again…Thanks for your email. Your response is very interesting and I feel compelled to comment on several points.
First of all, I will not “reply to all” so that those on your email list can follow our exchange. I personally have no problem with others seeing what we are talking about. However, I will leave it up to you if we should include those on the list. Once again, I have no problem responding to all of them.
You are correct in your implication that just because someone goes to class doesn’t mean there are educated or are any closer to Christ. However, the issue of God and His/Her/It’s existence was so important to me that an emphasis in Religious Studies was a natural step in my college education. The fact is that “at least I was in the classes and seminars” which makes the likelihood greater that I gained considerable insight into most of the world’s religions. It’s a little like George Bush and Viet Nam. At least John Kerry served in Viet Nam while Bush was curiously absent from his military obligations.
As far as The Passion of the Christ…are you referring to the Mel Gibson film or the literal “passion of the Christ?” If you are referring to the film, I didn’t see it. I heard how violent it was and I didn’t really want to be exposed to it. In addition, Mel Gibson’s father is a well-known anti-Semite (against Jews), and I’m one that believes that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. However, he is a decent actor.
You have stated: “If you vote for a liberal who believe in abortion, you might just as well be in that room sucking that baby form it's mother body.” The implication is that “all” liberals are baby killers and that liberals are “for abortion.” This is a completely untrue. This may be hard for you to understand, but “no one” likes abortions…even liberals. It is not something that anyone wants to go through. The difference between liberals and conservatives is that liberals understand that regardless of the “law,” abortions are going to happen. And because they will happen, liberals believe they should be safe. Prior to 1973 (Roe v. Wade), many abortions were performed by those who knew little about the procedure. Many women died horrible deaths (usually from bleeding to death). During this time, there were actually “safe” abortions going on performed by competent doctors. Of course, the safe abortions were reserved for those that could afford it. The result was that most of the women that died from illegal abortions were the poor and under-represented (aka: minorities and people of color). This hardly seems fair to me. Does it seem fair to you? If we make abortions illegal again, we will simply be sending the poor back into the alleys where the best surgical tool is a coat hanger. I don’t like abortions.
As with many issues between conservatives and liberals, there is no easy answer. If the answers were easy, there would be no debate.
For you, it is simply a matter of outlawing abortions. Let me ask you. Do you honestly believe that all abortions would stop suddenly because it was made illegal? What about in the case of rape or incest? You may not be aware but rape and incest also exist in the world.
It would be nice if we could legislate morality and ethics…If we could, Enron wouldn’t have stolen the pensions of thousands of employees. But you can’t legislate these matters. You cannot force someone to follow your beliefs by simply changing the law. Just like you can’t force a country like Iraq to accept democracy at the barrel of a gun. In both cases, it has to come from within…from the soul or from the people.
Finally, I don’t recall calling you a “fruitcake” as you stated above. It seems to me that you are reading things into my emails that are not there. This generally comes from being defensive and insecure. You are NOT a fruitcake. However, you are a classic example of one letting their “passions override their reason.”
Oh, one more point…
I must admit to being a little frightened of you and your way of thinking. You see, it is my opinion (and the opinion of many others) that 9/11 was conducted by a handful of religious “extremists.” I mean no offense, but quite frankly, you sound a little like a religious extremist yourself.
For me “extremism” under any circumstance is wrong by definition. That horrible day in NY would have never happened if those that conducted it had an ounce of tolerance for those that did not think like them. The truth is, they let their passions override their reason and sense of decency. As a result, it has become a horrible example of man’s inhumanity to man.
I hope that you are not heading down that road in the name of Jesus. I don’t think he would be pleased.
