http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhammad_Naeem_Noor_KhanIf you have been listening to Randi Rhodes recently, you might have heard her talk about the “outing” of Mohammad Naeem Noor Khan, a double agent working inside Al Qaeda and whether blowing his cover might have prevented police in England foiling the 7/7 London bombings. If you remember, this outing occurred in August 2004 when some unnamed U.S. official leaked Khan’s name to the press in an attempt by the Bush administration to defend a heightened terror threat level. This had the effect of diverting the attention of frightened undecided voters away from the Democratic National Convention, which had just completed the week previously, and refocusing their minds on how wonderful our government are at catching these bad guys.
In a eerily prescient antiwar.com piece from August 2004, Justin Raimondo said the following:
“Never mind who outed Valerie Plame – what I want to know is who outed Mohammad Naeem Noor Khan? Because in terms of damage done to U.S. national security, the exposure of the latter is by far the most serious breach. We may, indeed, one day look back on this betrayal as the reason why we didn't prevent another 9/11.”
http://www.antiwar.com/justin/?articleid=3271Well, we got another 9/11 only this time it’s called 7/7 and it occurred in London. I hope the British public realise this possible link- if I were living in London, I would be demanding to know some answers.
