I`ll betcha Bush is trembling in his little cowboy boots.
I`ll bet Bush is a little scared right now, especially since a half dozen journalists have turned on Rove with foaming fangs. Gee...how did THAT happen? These the same folks who laughed at Bush`s no-WMD jokes, brayed about Rove`s brilliance and morphed Osama into Saddam overnight. Poor Dubya. As Rove goes, so goes his nation. How will Bush keep it all straight without his live-in flamethrower?

Bush never really ammounted to much on his own. He always needed help. Lots of help. So my guess is that he`s a tad worried right now. How can he find Syria on the map if he`s all so alone? Who`ll read USA Today for him to tell him what`s important? Which costume shop did Karl get those military outfits from anyway?

If Rove goes, Bush will never be the same. He`ll have to get out of Dodge and spend more time at the ranch. Maybe fly Karen Hughes in for some late-night cramming sessions. It`ll go something like this...."Okay. North of this line is Canada. Don`t ask about Blacks in Brazil. Africa is a continent not a country. I know you forgot, George. If things get real bad, remember that you still have Saddam`s pistol. We`ll send Mehlman out to plant the story that you didn`t get it from someone in the military. You flew yourself on a double super secret mission to Iraq and grabbed it with your bare, patriotic hands. Stop quivering. It`s a cakewalk. We already know we can convince them of just about anything."

2. Actually, I think it's Karen, Condi, Mary M, etc who are trembling.
I don't Shrub is. He's content to just call his minions in and say "Handle it!" They always have before and he's sure they will this time too!

The rest of them are saying, "O God, what have these idiots gotten us into here?"

10. You could be correct in your assessment --
because all of his miserable useless self centered life he has been bailed out, by family friends and employees of his father.

He has never had to face any responsibility for his failures -- and he is a failure in everything he tries -- school, business, parenthood -- and even politics.

He lost two elections -- but got close enough to have his father's friends pull out a win.

He yells "daddy" .. . or "uncle" or "do it" . . . and takes his meds and goes to sleep.

24. Oh I Hope You're Right!!
Shrub is so utterly vacant, I don't picturing him smart enough to be worried (thus the totally appropriate Alfred E. Newman comparison.)

M. Matilin!! YEAH!! I hope she's up all night swilling martinis and freaking out!

That implies that Bush would do something to change the outcome of an election. Whoda thunk that? Maybe he should have supplied them with Diebold voting machines.

8. If what is being posited right now about the...
White House Iraq Group (of which Ms. Hughes was a member) is correct, even she may be getting a warrant for her arrest.

Bush may be left to figure things out for himself. :wow:

23. Bush is probably having fits and flights of anger
if those Capital Hill Blue stories from a year ago were true:

"Keep those motherfuckers away from me," he screamed at an aide backstage. "If you can't, I'll find someone who can."

"Bush's mental stability has become the topic of Washington whispers in recent months. Capitol Hill Blue first reported on June 4 about increasing concern among White House aides over the President's wide mood swings and obscene outbursts. "

Whether he's having any "obscene outbursts" or not, it will be interesting to see if Bush's mental stability suffers in the coming days, and whether it looks like he's taking mood-altering substances.

Just about three days ago, I noticed he was walking on the White House lawn with Rove and he was playing to the cameras, at times looking like he was going to rush the cameraman. This might have been just playful attempts to show he wasn't concerned, but it looked very strange to me for a President to be acting in this manner:

Not because Rove is his brain - He needs Rove because he's his thug. Take away the scary guy, and stuff really starts to stick.

that he thinks he will come up smelling like a rose. He has never been punished for any of his wrong doings.
If he is impeached or eventually tried, he will be bonkers. Would/will be interesting.

31. One has to have brains to experience fear
and Bushco has always gotten a pass on behavior in the past so he would have nothing to relate to and therefore would not understand that he has something to fear.
