Video clip: Dean in Utah. Respectful interview with transcript.
Dean spoke at Westminster College in Salt Lake City today. Spoke for about 40 minutes. This is a short video clip, done well.

All caps is the seating person, regular print is the reporter.

"THIS IS FILLING UP RAPIDLY."

"I THINK THAT'S IT."

"I GUESS THEY COME OUT OF THE WOODWORK FOR THE BIG SPEAKERS."

Who would've ever thought...

"I BELIEVE YOU'RE THE LAST TWO."

There were so many Democrats... in Utah?

1. Nice interview Dean Rocks
I hope the message gets out, I have Mormons in this town and they are not happy with Bush
and their religion's exclusionary tactics against them.
Hell Reid is a Mormon isn't he?

2. I don't understand why people are so surprised...
...that there are Democrats in places like Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, et cetera.

It's not like these states went 100% for Bush. :eyes:

3. You're right.
Too many people write off these states. I'm a life-long Dem from a family of life-long inter-mountain west Dem's.

But if KSL-TV/RADIO was involved...they would slant coverage. IMHO

6. Republicans ignored the south for a century..
With the exceptions of F.D.R., LBJ, and Clinton..the Rockies were treated by Democrats as unwinnable.

Dean understands instead of wasting money on closeminded voters, Democrats should appeal to ignored voters who will listen. But Democrats win everytime they actively campaign in the west. Dean was a brillant choice for DNC chairman!

4. That was great!
The place was so full!!! People were sitting on the floor and everything! I loved that! :loveya: Dean is sooo perfect for the job as chairman and I hope he stays there for a long time. I think 2008 will hopefully be very different from now. :D
