Looks like * will get away with just firing Rove
and all of the WH crimes will be rectified by that. Really sucks.

3. Yup.
We'll never find out how Rove got Plame's name, or who else got compromised, or why * never pursued the matter himself. The whole WMD/DSM thing will go away when Rove gets the boot too.

2. If he had the good sense to actually do that, you may be right
But he won't. Chimpy would fire himself before he would fire KKKarl.

4. What exactly are you basing that on?
There's a criminal investigation going on, and legal sources close to the case expect at least one indictment or a forced plea that could lead to others being implicated. This is bad news?

19. Because our "leadership" is calling for Rove's firing
instead of for vigorous prosecution for treason. I get Kerry e-mails saying "The President Must Fire Rove" instead of "The President's Main Advisor Should Be Investigated for Treason". As usual, the Dems are playing with kid gloves on.

11. I saw that article but what does it have to do with firing Rove?
I was wondering what the original poster had for a source.

Thanks. :)

12. I just read it too and didn't make the connection.
If anything I think that article indicates that a simple firing is unlikely to solve the administration's problems.

15. Nothing, actually

The point I'm trying to make is that this is not about spin; the investigation is what matters. Members of this WH are in increasing legal jeopardy. Whether Rove gets fired is irrelevant.

17. No no, I understand your point completely
My question is for the original poster, not you.

Sorry for the confusion. :)

6. I wouldn't be to worried...
Moron* hasn't fired a soul yet, and if he has to, he will wait till the very last minute to do it. So there is plenty of sideshow antics to come.

And remember, once karl, the dark lord, rove is gone, it will be truly amusing to watch moron* create his own spin. With the road block gone, moron* will show his true colors.

Frankly, what worries me, is that moron* is waiting for the right moment to announce a purposefully controversial person for the supreme court, thus derailing any real TV/court time for rove. They are famous for that.

13. Exactly...
People don't get fired from the WH for screwing up, they get fired for not doing what they're told. Anyone who follows orders is highly rewarded, no matter how much they screw up, e.g. Tenet and Rice.

7. Firing him won't do anything ...
Remember when Karen Hughes went to spend more time with her family ?

The only thing she did was move. She was still considered an advisor to the president. She just was not in the spot light of actually working in the WH.

If Rove is fired, all that means is that he moves. He can still be the puppet master.

Rove needs to be imprisoned, or perhaps exectuted. I think Treason during Wartime (that resulted in the death of US assets) is more than enough justification for execution.

Cheers
Drifter

20. Exactly. That's why if * fires Rove it will seem like he's made
some major concession to wash away all of his sins.
