21. I'm hoping KS may be turning somewhat.
I read a poll on DU, yesterday, that put Sebelius' approval at about 75%, I THINK. Anyway it was very high. That translates to lots of Repubs are giving her high marks. Please, let Brownback be the next to fall.

42. Sigh. We are trying to turn things around. The conservatives
may have made some enemies this year with their shenanigans. Sebelius, who has frequently spoken out against the conservatives, is very popular. That suggests to me that many Kansans really don't want to go all the way down Wingnut Road. We'll see.

7. yes texas is having a hard time right now
our property taxes are the highest in the nation and it keeps going up right now. The whole system is a mess. He hasn't been liked since he left the governorship. Like i tell all the repukes around here, he left us in shambles and it is still bad here. Perry's approval rating is sitting around 36%, and i was surprised to see kerry have a pretty good percentage of the vote down there.

But as i said, it's Florida! You'll NEVER get the TRUTH from here!!!

I live in the Trifecta County! But even here, with ALL my bumper stickers still on my car, I have yet to have ONE removed OR get hassled! I don't know if I scare them with my evil look, or if they just are too stupid to confront me!! I HAVE a lot of them on my car, it could be actual fear of me!

Maybe they think they shouldn't mess with someone who is still so confrontational! I do have one that says... "The More You Disapprove, The More Fun It Is For ME!

I don't believe * won Ohio, and this is pretty good evidence of that. If you look at the red states that are 50% or more disapproval, I think you'll find that most of them had serious problems/questions with the election last November.

31. Agreed
The more evidence and data comes out regarding the '04 Election, the clearer it becomes that certain states went to * electronically, but not legitimately.

I have no doubt Rove was the mastermind behind 'fixing' the election around the results.

82. you know it is possible that people could just dislike both Bush and Kerry
I dont think that helps to prove Kerry really won the election.

My contention was that people didn't like Bush, but weren't comfortable with Kerry as a replacement.

Bush is the devil they know and they reluctantly stuck with him.

In Tennessee, 48 percent disapprove in total, but the telling numbers are that 60 percent of moderate independents disapprove and 50 percent of the people in traditionally-Republican East Tennessee (where I live) disapprove of Bush.

53. Nevada and Washington rock!!! Then there's ... Oklahoma.
Edited on Thu Jul-14-05 11:46 AM by Stand and Fight
I'm a native of Las Vegas, NV -- born and raised.
Currently I live in Oklahoma.
My wife is from Washington state.
I'm happy to report that the three states that I consider home -- some less than others -- have all shown a decrease in approval ratings:

State_____A- May___D- May______A- Jun___D- Jun______Change A-___Change D-
Nevada_______39%______56%__________38%_____57%____________-1%__________+1%
Oklahoma_____56%______39%__________49%_____47%____________-7%__________+8%
Washington___42%______52%__________41%_____57%____________-1%__________+5%

:bounce:

Whereas, A stands for "approval" and D stands for "disapproval."

However, I do think that it was his sure win states -- like Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, Idaho, etc -- that they padded the vote. That is, they added more votes so that he would easily reach his 3 million vote lead whilst they cheated outright in Ohio, Florida...

70. Thanks.
Just went to Portland for my first time -beyond getting gas - feckin' loved. Grand town. Really helped me transcend that whole Sea-PDX battle. Cheers!

71. Glad to hear it!
I don't think people here take the so-called rivalry too seriously. We're too mellowed out, man. ;)

74. "Mellow doesn't begin to describe it"
While I was down there my buddy pointed out that everyone drives like they're stoned (if you know what I you know what I mean) I felt perfectfully safe as a pedesterian - mainly cuz everyone stops 10 yards before they need to and no one seems to drive over about 25mph - but it made me laugh way too much watching the drivers there. No offense.

78. Yeah, it's amusing.
If you put on your turn signal, a good portion of people will slow and wave you into the lane. Of course, there are exceptions, usually SUV drivers with "W" stickers.

80. Those "w04" stickers aren't helping anyone.
I'm wondering if the glue on thsoe are really strong, cuz it seems to me they're gonna get gradually more embrassing (Not nearly like LaRouche) as things fall more and more apart. But really you gotta start being nice to those people. I'm really getting sick of townhill.com peeps whining about their SUVs getting cut off by hippie VW bugs. Its rampant!

88. These numbers STRONGLY suggests he stole 2004.
It's very unlikely that anybody who voted for him wouldn't be giving him a bit of leeway right now ...

94. California isn't fooled - 37 to 58 DISAPPROVE.
And that disapproval figure is up by 4 points from May to June. Approval figure dropped in that time, by two points.

He wouldn't even win us over if he offered to resign tomorrow.
