#ush FIRST to leave summit meeting
any surprise here?

http://apnews.myway.com/article/20050708/D8B7FNHG1.html

Among leaders, however, President Bush was first to leave this secluded golf resort and was airborne half an hour before the start of Blair's closing news conference.

1. Why would it be a surprise? He has one, possibly two, nomination battles
coming up. Easier to coordinate them from the White House then from Scotland.

2. Suppose he wanted to get home before dark- when all the flights
bringing in the wounded from Iraq started clogging up the airspace.

7. Actually, they didn't tell him...the conference isn't over.
They'll stay an extra day just so they have real meetings.

Poor George was probably bored out of his mind. Meetings and talking about people who are starving...:boring:

He's gotta hurry back to Crawford...clear some brush...

10. He only went there to PRETEND .........

11. That he left 30 minutes before Blair's closing news conference is telling
Perhaps he doesn't want to play news conference if he can't run the show.

My guess is that he wasn't wired up with his contraption and the handlers couldn't take a chance on having him answer questions on his own.
