Contribute to Conrad, Casey and Byrd before the fundraising deadline
Yessir folks, a fundraising email from your friend and mine, John Kerry. But not fundraising for himself. Fundraising for Conrad, Casey and Byrd.

Just thought I'd toss it out there.

Dear Erica,

We have less than 12 hours to act. The critical June 30th fundraising deadline arrives at midnight tonight. We need to act today to stop the Republicans who control Washington from trying to completely take over the Senate and shut out those who fight for you every day. I'm urging you to act by rushing an immediate donation to one or more of three vitally important Senate campaigns.

Contribute to Senator Conrad: https://services.myngp.com/ngponlineservices/contribution.aspx?X=vKvM2QboOeAboA4v%2byMkvswBinabTebW
Contribute to Senator Byrd: http://www.byrd2006.com/donate/kerry.cfm
Contribute to Challenger Casey: https://secure.ga3.org/01/contribution?source=2005fy_don_jkerry2

Senator Kent Conrad and Senator Robert Byrd have been strong independent voices in the Senate - leaders who consistently use their seniority and savvy to put the interests of the people ahead of the special interests. Bob Casey is on track to stop Rick Santorum's bid for re-election in Pennsylvania. Let's put together a powerful show of strength. Let's make it clear to Republicans dead set on defeating these candidates that we'll do whatever it takes to help them win.

Senator Conrad, in his position as ranking member on the Senate Budget Committee, has led the fight against President Bush's distorted policies that favor tax cuts for the rich, have produced devastating record budget deficits, and have threatened the safety net for the middle class.

Contribute to Senator Conrad: https://services.myngp.com/ngponlineservices/contribution.aspx?X=vKvM2QboOeAboA4v%2byMkvswBinabTebW

Senator Byrd has been targeted by President Bush for defeat because he has defended the Constitution and the system of checks and balances from the Washington Republicans who seek absolute power over the federal government. We need Senator Byrd's courageous voice in the Senate.

Contribute to Senator Byrd: http://www.byrd2006.com/donate/kerry.cfm

And in order to unseat Senator Rick Santorum in Pennsylvania, one of President Bush's top lieutenants, we need to send as much support as possible to Democratic candidate Bob Casey who will replace the right-wing agenda with common sense solutions.

Contribute to Challenger Casey: https://secure.ga3.org/01/contribution?source=2005fy_don_jkerry2

We're pulling out all the stops to help Senate candidates locked in the toughest races. And nobody needs or deserves your support more than the leaders I've mentioned.

Give to one of them - or better still, donate to all three. But, whatever you do, act now.

Contribute to Senator Conrad: https://services.myngp.com/ngponlineservices/contribution.aspx?X=vKvM2QboOeAboA4v%2byMkvswBinabTebW
Contribute to Senator Byrd: http://www.byrd2006.com/donate/kerry.cfm
Contribute to Challenger Casey: https://secure.ga3.org/01/contribution?source=2005fy_don_jkerry2

Don't hesitate for a moment. With the deadline fast approaching, it's vitally important that you participate right now.

Sincerely,

John Kerry

2. Casey
Sent my $10 to Conrad and Byrd.

I live in PA and I wouldn't give Bob Casey your wooden nickel. He's another Biden or Lieberman; we would almost be better off with Santorum because Rick says stupid things that we can wage against the GOP.

Can anybody tell me what is the benefit of electing a pro-life, pro-Iraq, fiscally conservative, socially moderate, overall conservative Democrat?

If I wanted to be represented by someone who was opposed to everything I believe in I'd vote for Rick Santorum.

4. THANK YOU!! Contribute to Chuck Pennachio**** He's an actual DEMOCRAT.
Bob Casey is a conservative Republican running as a Democrat.

Many in our Democratic leadership like Chuck Schumer and even the Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell have been engaged in preventing other candidates from entering the race, EVEN FOR THE PRIMARY, thereby annointing Bob Casey, a pro-life, pro-war Conservative, that is essentially a Republican in every sense of the word.

However Chuck Pennachio, a WONDERFUL person, and a true blue, pro choice, anti SHOCK & AWE Iraq Democrat has entered the race and is undeterred by the dictator playing bozos.

5. It was suggested in another thread where I posted this that it should be
a stand alone thread. And it was. So I'm kicking it.

7. I got the same email today, but recommending it for Di Feinstein...
Funny thing is this - While I'm glad to have a 2nd Democrat Woman to our wonderful Senator Boxer, Diane Feinstein is not my first choice. She has done so many things in the last several years that piss me off and frankly, when she introduced Condi Rice at the hearings for her confirmation for Sec. of State, that was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I'd hate to see the state of CA and the Senate as a whole have a Republican Senator replace Feinstein, but at the same time, I would rather have some other Dem in her place. So the idea of contributing even a dime to her is just not going to happen for me this time.

But I'd happily donate to Byrd....Casey and Conrad I don't know about. Maybe I'm wrong, but wasn't Conrad one of the Dem's that didn't sign the anti-lynching legislation?

All I know is this - At one time, John Kerry could have told me to jump, and I would have said how high....now, that isn't the case. My feeling is question everything from everyone and do my research. I will never, ever give money to anyone if they have voted in such a way that goes against my principles.

Diane Feinstein lost my money and I've given generously in the past to her...

Sorry John Kerry....

8. I'm curious to find out if these are the only two
Is it more of a general support Dems type mass mailing, or are these four it.

9. Would be interesting, wouldn't it to find this out....Like I said in my
post, I question everything and research everything now. Just because its from Kerry, doesn't matter to me. I noticed also in another post here on the thread, someone mentioning that Casey is a DINO and that there is a better candidate. Interesting. Seems that there are a few people here that Kerry is pushing that are DINO's (Dems in Names only) like DINO Feinstein and apparentely this Casey fellow.

And as I mentioned before, I believe Conrad was the one sole Dem who refused to sign the Senate's anti-lynching bill...someone correct me if I'm wrong here....
