Folks, the Repubs are on the defensive and they are most dangerous when they are on the run. Get ready for hand-to-hand combat. Do not have mercy. Do not relent at this time. When they cry for pity, stick it through their cold heartless souls. They are not the opposition - they are the enemies of America. This is not time for pollyannish, milquetoast politicians that think they can somehow negotiate with these dangerous radicals. They are more to be feared than all the terrorists in the world.

But I do appreciate the jist of your post, and that of aden nak below me.
We are at fucking war, and we have been since Gingrich's 1994 Congress swept in and urged fellow Repulicans to use terms such as "corrupt, sick, twisted" and so on to describe Democrats. They will not take prisoners, why should we? No quarter asked, none given. The modern incarnation of the Republican Party is best relegated to the trashbin of history, with the Whigs, the Know Nothings, and every other jackass, backward political party to come down the pipe of American politics.
Hell, this isn't just warfare, it's trench warfare with no quarter asked and none given, and both sides are running low on ammo and the whistle is about to be blown and we're all slapping our blades in place on the ends of rusty rifles.
Yeah, I agree wholeheartedly with you. I just manage to maintain my sense of humor about it, and keep a healthy dose of cynicism. Now death to the greedheads! We will march on a road of bones.

2. I suddenly remember Gingrich after the "Republican Revolution".

Specificly, his talking about how you should kick someone when they are down, because that's the best time to kick them. About how civilty was, essentially, anathema to politics. And sadly, if one side turns feral, the other side must do the same, or else the feral side will always be fighting harder and more ruthlessly.

They continue to support 'outsourcing' and with only lower-end jobs being taken mainly by immigrants (both legal on visas and illegal who just hopped the fence), the vast pool of unemployed youth will be forced into the 'volunteer' army.
