Eminent Domain ruling by the Supremes
Edited on Wed Jun-29-05 09:34 PM by SHRED
I heard today that one of the Supremes is going to be profiteering off this new ruling.
Details please?
Links?

Thanks

1. No
You heard that David Souter's property in his home state might be subject to eminent domain. It is in no way affected by the Kelo ruling.

Read the opinion - it'll clear your mind.

2. Don't know about profiteering.
The only thing I heard was on a conservative site, taken at face value there; it's apparently tongue-in-cheek, or just a stupid stunt, by a former "objectivist"-leaning wanna-be politician in California.

The stupid stunt business refers to the conclusions at:

(Who basically ran into the same set of webpages that I did, in googling the freestarmedia info for confirmation, or some indication that it's not just a goofy webpage.)

3. I don't know if it's a stunt
It sounds to me like a legitimate way to get Souter to support his own ruling by applying it to his own property.
