The USA's world image

So many take the "who cares what the world thinks" attitude.
This thinking is shallow, idiotic, and dangerous.

"Image" involves much more than if we are "liked or not".
This involves the very security of the USA. Cooperation equals communication equals a greater degree of security. Also, as the USA economy has less and less leverage worldwide it needs all the friends it can get.
This macho, imperialistic, go-it-alone, might is right, attitude has brought down many former world powers throughout history.

The Bu$h regime is in power because a vast chunk of the USA populace is filled with ignorant, uneducated, military minded people hell bent on using a bigger stick for all their problems.

Like Graham Nash once sang, "Military madness is killing our country..."

1. Just consider

that just over 5 years ago many kids from other countries probably wanted to BE American. They saw a leader like Bill Clinton and (for the most part) liked the version of America that he represented.

Now they just want to AVOID America.
