ohhhh alllright.....I'll start a Kucinich thread.......
I still love DK. I think that man has integrity and guts in spades. I hope I can be half the man that Dennis Kucinich is. He's quite Wellstone-like and that's high praise coming from me.

For all the arguing that we all do around here regarding our favorite candidates and so forth, I just have to say this. The Republican party doesn't have and never will have people as good as the candidates we had run for president last year. Not DK, Dr. Dean, Wes Clark, John Edwards, John Kerry or any of the others.

Part of our essence is to have ideas and not fall in line with the status quo. That's why we argue and fight over everything, because Dems aren't robots like the Republican propaganda machine spews out. When you have a rare maverick Republican who isn't totally nuts, like Chuck Hagel, he gets crucified for speaking his mind. Here on DU, speaking our mind and standing for conviction is essential. So what if we disagree? That's part of our thing. I think we should cultivate it, but we don't need to kill each other off the way Republicans do. I know this won't stop the fights, but it's my two cents.

Go DK! Nibb High Rules!

2. DK is the Real Deal
He spoke like a Green and fought for Democrats and I can't ask for more than that. If we could get another dozen like him in Congress, let alone have him or someone like him win the Presidency, this country would be well on the way toward true healing from the continuing nightmare we are living through. I didn't vote for Dennis, but I am thrilled to have him in our Party.

3. He's an awesome speaker!
And :o -- guess what-- even "HE" goes on Faux.. LOL!!!

He was just up here in Anchorage a couple weeks ago, but I wasn't able to go the event he was at :( ..It was packed to the hilt I heard though.

I wish I could watch some re-runs of the '04 debates -- Although he was never my pick as a presidential candidate, he was incredible during the debates!

I rememember when the media gave him non-stop crap for about 3 days for holding up a pie-chart during a radio interview. Geez.. Maybe he was showing it to the idiot who was interviewing him?

Just makes you realize how cruel the media really is though.. They pounded him UNFAIRLY for that! Meanwhile, Bush couldn't come up with a pie-chart to save his life..

4. Dennis is the real deal. I thought that from the time

I read his speech "A Prayer for America." We need more people in politics of his caliber.

6. I think Kucinich is great, and he ended up being my candidate
in our state caucus, since Clark was long gone by then. I went to a bunch of Kucinich meetups and events, I got to see him speak in person, and I got to know a bunch of really great people who were working for him.

I ended up being a delegate for him all the way up to the Colorado State Convention, and was very proud of contributing to his getting almost 30% there and getting more delegates from Colorado than from any other state.

I love that he has so strongly and consistently opposed the Iraq war and I wish we had alot more Democrats like him.

7. I just got off the phone with an Ohioan, and we talked about DK...
...at length. I kept my Dem voter registration long enough to vote for Kucinich in the primary, and he's the ONLY dem from the 2004 slate that I could vote for. Kucinich is one of the best of the democratic party, IMO.

8. The problem with our party...
is that we worry too much about what everyone else thinks. We are like teenage girls at a dance when it comes to elections. We will never run DK because we are too vain/insecure.

Republicans.. big dumb bully jocks that throw up a candidate who's dumber than shit, or a B movie actor, or a flat out racist, or a crook... with complete arrogance and win. (well, riggin all the voting helps too).

God I wish we had some of that. Some friggin BALLS. (even that makes me want to apologize for using that term-- which again goes to my point)

BALLS... NUTS... GNADS... HUEVOS...

DK has them. He looks like a jim henson character, and he has the biggest sack on any democrat. Shit, He's got more nut than Nader, without being such a fucking loon.

The women in this party rule. They have major balls. And I hope to god Hillary runs like i know she can... but my fear is that she will Kerry-out in the end. Play the middle and lose. If she does i won't vote for her.

THe rest of the men in this party that we consider electable are all metrosexual pansies. Before you get me wrong, let me say that I'm not talking Macho. The REpubs are macho. I'm just looking for MEN.

DK is a man. The best for the job. He always was. He has all the answers. But nobody will listen.

You want to win? Two words...

Barack Obama.

Young, inexperienced, and destined to save this country. Positvity and light always wins. And this country is desperate for it. Anyone who saw the DNC fell in love and knew they were watching the future.
