you think Iraq was worth 14,700+ American lives and limb, but think we should take years asking permission to enter a country to find Bin Laden. What is this crap?
http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1074084,00.htmlSo we invade Iraq on a lie or for WMDs that did not exist or regime change (whatever your line on the reasoning), but somehow we know where Bin laden is but can't get him because we have to have permission to enter a country? So now we are worried about offending people to find the murderer of thousands in America? You know if the CIA knew where he was before the Iraq war, we would have had the backing of the world to march into any country where Bin Laden was hold up. Now Bush has so destroyed our credibility that we have to ask permission to get these guy.
Don't people see that Bush is mucking up the just part of the fight. Consider these 5 points.
1. Bush's energy buddies have us kissing the ass of oil countries like Saudi Arabia when most of the hijackers came from the medrases(sp) there. Don't even get me started with how they treat women.
2. Bush's failure to stop the proliferation of nuclear weapons has us backing the military dictator in Pakistan. Someone tell me why we did not get Bin Laden when he was holed up in the mountains there. They have been saying no to us entering the country for 4 years and we have let them?
3. Rumsfeld has so mismanaged the military that we could not find Bin Laden because he was in the mountains? Don't give me the line about the region being remote or dangerous because that is crap. We marched a generation of men across the oceans, up the beaches and through the snow and melting heat to push back the Nazi's and Japan and now some snow, mountains and men with guns are stopping us? What crap.
4. Bush has failed to ask for sacrifice on the part of Americans to stop terrorism. Recruting is down 40% because people know that their sacrifice will be in vain under this Commander-in-chief. They will die or become maimed in Iraq never seeing us free the people and knowing that they did it for Bush and his sick mind and not to save their families from terror or WMDs. The truth is Bush could go on TV tomorrow and announce a major offensive to get Bin Laden and Al Qaeda and ask people to join and they would if they thought they were saving their families from the fate of those in the World Trade Center. I dare say some here would join too and I would be proud of you.
5. Finally, we have come to the idea of diplomacy when war is justified and tough talk when diplomacy is required. I will not go into Iran, Sudan or North Korea (though it all will apply to those situations). Look at the
Time magazine, Porter Goss interview linked above. Goss says that "I have an excellent idea of where he is." So we know, but do not have him. He goes on to say, that the reasons for that are that "when you go to the very difficult question of dealing with sanctuaries in sovereign states, you're dealing with a problem of our sense of international obligation, fair play. We have to find a way to work in a conventional world in unconventional ways that are acceptable to the international community." So, basically when it comes to Bin Laden we must respect the wishes of the International community, but with Iraq they can all go f themselves?
I'd love to here anyone else with a you might be a Republican if...
