Repub calls for Reed to drop out (Ga. Lt.Gov race)
"This is an open request to Ralph Reed:

Please withdraw your candidacy for Georgia lieutenant governor, in order to avoid a grievous, majority-wrecking split in the Republican Party. If you should win the nomination, many thousands of Republican voters will desert us for the Democrats in 2006, defeating not only you but also many other good Republican candidates, maybe even Gov. Sonny Perdue."

note: The guy running against Reed in the repub primary is considered to be even MORE conservative than Reed.

2. Yeah. More psychotic criminals in office is swell. But if it splits the
GOP, great!

5. hear, hear!! especially after the vile, shameful chambliss campaign
of 2002... i've met cleland several times growing up, and have nothing but respect and admiration for him. the way he was treated (the unpatriot allegations, the soft on terrorism charges, the ann coulter insinuations) honestly made me cry the night of the election. i HATE (and i don't hate lightly) saxby with every fiber of my being, and nothing would please me more than that man landing on his pompous, evil ass in '06. sometimes i hope i'm bad enough to go to hell, just so i can watch him suffering there. i can't speak his name without choking on vomit. barr and gingrich and zell were saints compared to that som'bitch.

8. Treatment of Cleland was deeply shameful and vile.
Ann Coulter hasn't broken a nail in the service of her country.

7. Yea, I was happy to hear that Reed was considering a run...
But it's just Lt. Gov. An important post, of course...occupied now by Mark Taylor (D), who's going to run for Governor and probably face Cathy 'Diebold' Cox (D) in the primaries...(In fairness to Ms. Cox, the electronic voting stuff is really her only major flaw, I suppose..)

I'd like to see some really divisive 'Thugs run for senate or something...

Doesn't matter -- the Republicans begain their self-destruction the instant the '05 election was 'won' and they got overconfident. Now all the different groups of 'Thugs want something in return for supporting the Boy Emperor, but in many cases they just won't agree with one another. It's beautiful.
