"MEMORIAL DAY

Three this afternoon is the time designated for a moment of silence in memory of fallen soldiers. Perhaps we can extend that moment to ask ourselves why they must fall. Why are our young men and women being sacrificed in Iraq. And where is the moment of silence for the thousands of civilians who have lost their lives in the wake of these sacrifices.

The young dead do not wish to be dead."
