32. Thought it was "just me!" What is it about Repuks?
They all look, well... strange! Like the dweebs from High School that couldn't find they're glitch. You know, the serious weirdo-types.

Not casting downwardly on anyone for popularity, or shyness, etc., but what is it about Republicans, especially the Reps & Senators and their tube-talking-puppets?

They're a strange lot. Glad to see it wasn't just me thinking this.

19. Katrina just gored Howie's Goose...Kicked his butt...made mincemeat of
him. It was a Joy to Watch. And she plugged Conyers, 89 signatures, Hearings next Thursday...and every point we would have made if we had been on Howie Whore's "Reliable Sources." Gotta give it to Howie...he sense the smell of "fear in the air" from Repugs and is lining himself up to get on the "Good Side." Howie...amazing how the Whore's take advantage of the "Newest Movement."

6. so very clearly. did you see dan rather (cspan) talking to investigative
reporters and editors conference in denver?

he did everything but outright say that our democracy and constitution is at high threat and we need the press to seek and report the truth

he had to choke back tears several times
very interesting

27. Thanks very much for that link watched the entire speech
You know things have gone to shit when someone who's seen & done as much as Dan Rather has in his 50 years as a reporter is brought to tears by
the current state of the American media.

The fascists are at the gate.

yes I can read between the lines Mr Rather.

do the journalists and THE AMERICAN PEOPLE believe that investigative reporting is still needed?.....in a nutshell.

33. Does "Aiding & Abetting" come to mind? Seriously...
If we can somehow regain our country back with what's left of what the Repuks undignified, they'll all be scratching for crumbs.

I can dream anyway.

11. I watch body language:
If you watch the CNN video of the chimp and poodle show, watch Blair as Bush gives his answer on the memo (at about 2:45 in the clip). He moves his body away from Bush (an "escape" response) and stops smiling and looks away. That tells me all I need to know! ;)

12. that was quite good. howard actually was fair and balanced and katrina
was great as she usually is. they let her speak quite a bit considering the length of the segment and john fund was more relaxed than ive seen him. maybe they like katrina but she was given a fair forum to discuss media "cowardice" and the downing street minutes

thanks for sharing this

16. Notice how while she's talking about all the troops dying
they show a bunch of troops APPLAUDING Herr Chimpy BEHIND Katrina..

How much more BLATANT does that get?

THAT was proof of Obvious media bias in the choice of the clip alone.. why didn't they show dead troops, exploding cars, troops shooting at people, anything?

Nope, just Bush jacking off the truth like he does male horses..

Cudos to Katrina, fast talker, that's good.. when I was on Joe Scarborough they threatened to turn off my mike :)

whoever the hell he is. He raises Bush's EXACT non-argument re the DSM: they went to the UN after the Downing meeting took place, and the UN essentially gave them what they wanted. It's not only factually untrue--the UN did NOT endorse the invasion of Iraq--it intentionally misses the point of the DSM. Which is this: Bush KNOWINGLY took us to war in Iraq based on bogus intelligence. HE KNEW. That's what's significant about the DSM: it's an apparently disinterested party confirming what's already been said by O'Neill, Clarke and others. Bush was hell bent on invading Iraq, and desperate to manufacture a case for doing so. The business about the UN is completely irrelevant.

23. John Fund-slept with his girlfriend's daughter, and then beat her up
I'm not making that up. He cheated on his girlfriend with her 20-something daughter, and when she became pregnant tried to force her to get an abortion. He also beat her, sat on her and choked her. He also made up a completely false rumor that Sidney Blumenthal was a wife-beater--ironic, no?

21. E-mail CNN and tell them to get some spine!!And thank Hillary too
:bounce:

Here is the contact link for CNN reliable sources:

http://edition.cnn.com/feedback/forms/form5.html?25

Here is my own letter:

I would like to give my support to the words of Sen. Hillary Clinton regarding media bias.
Any rational person can remember the relentless critique of every aspect of the Clinton Administration--no matter how insignificant the charge.
When will CNN give half as much attention to the questions of whether or not the Bush Administration mislead the nation and fixed intelligence on matters of war?
As Sen. Clinton said, “come on guys-let's get some spine here".

Sincerely,

29. Look at that pic
Edited on Sun Jun-12-05 09:39 PM by SoCalifer

Notice the symbolism the media is subliminally using?

In the background of the Repub you see what appears to be a legal library, projecting an image of highly educated and knowledge of law and politics. Also, he's in a setting that projects wealth, showing that he's very successful - thus further enforcing this image.

Now behind the Democrat we see nothing but a blank-blue background.

I don't know about anybody else, but to me this stuff is not a mere coincidence.

i agree with you on the props, it's always flags, slogans or some type of setting to make them look more patriotic or knowledgable than the other person. but katrina doesn't need props, she just rocks and will not be shouted down.
