Time to send a message: BOYCOTT USA TODAY
Their lame excuse for not covering the Downing Street memo is an insult to every person who values truth in government. Whether the memo is factually incorrect or not is pretty much beside the point: the NEWS was that a British state department official transcribed explosive revelations by other high ranking Britons concerning George Bush's pre-war attitudes toward Iraq. USA Today seems to have had no reservation, whatsoever, about printing damaging accustations from the likes of the Swift Boat Vets in election times before the American elections.

I am sending out e-mails to every person on my address list urging them not to buy USA Today. THIS SHIT HAS GOT TO STOP.

5. can't boycott
something I wouldn't touch with a 10-foot pole.

However, I think they supply the (ahem) "news" feed for Captivate, those little elevator screens that give "news", weather, and assorted mind candy of no substance.

3. I never do anyway.
USA Today to me is the paper you get at a hotel outside your door in the morning. I don't know anyone who actually suscribes to it.

Here in Pittsburgh you can get the Post-Gazette, the Tribune-Review, or the New York Times. I get the Post-Gazette cause it's fairly factual, carry rational columnists like Paul Krugman, and pays for itself with the grocery coupons.

Does anyone actually suscribe to USA Today or is it just widely dispersed in hotels across the country?

The only thing worthwhile in that p.o.s. McPaper is the crossword puzzle. I can get their daily crossword online if and when I want a quick puzzle fix.

Also, the price has gone up to 75 cents.

Whores...

edited because I'm gizmonic, not deep13! Oops, wrong name!

7. USA Today was always lame
Besides, there's no graph to show for the Downing St. Memo. How can USA Today release a story without a graph?

8. I just now canceled my prescription to USA Today....
I told the guy why - no DSM news, contributing to the death of America. He said "I don't feel that way".

I really don't know how much more of this I can take.

We in America get absolutely nothing for our tax dollars. Every fucking day, there is more bad news on how our government is taking something away from us and enacting more police state policies.

I guess one way to look at it is this: I live in America and I pay taxes. In the olden days, citizens would get something in return. Now, we get nothing. I guess I rather pay my taxes to a country who does something for me in return.

(Yes prescription - as it is a type of drug to read propaganda).
