Don't you dare!
Don't you dare let the media frame quotations for you. It's happening here of all places for Pete's sake!

Dean did NOT say white Christians are Republicans and imply that if you are a white Christian you cannot be anything else. Come on folks, the reverse of a statement is not always logically true.

Rangal did NOT say Iraq was equivalent in scope to the Holocaust. He is talking about the horror of silent complicity in the face of crimes against humanity.

Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!

Think for yourselves and stop letting the media and the right wing bloggers influence the way you interpret quotes. Dig deeper and search for context. Use reason and logic. If you don't, you've delivered yourself into their clutches.

While I'm at it I'll give this thought a little kick:

 Okay, climbing down off my soap box now. I appreciate you letting me vent a rant for a second and please ignore if it does not apply to you. Thank you and have a great day!

2. On the Christian note...
I have actually heard someone say that if you are Christian you must be republican.
My reply was, Show me where it says that in the bible.

5. Given the demographics of the U.S.
I cannot imagine a meeting of democrats in which there was not at least one Christian if not more. Why people would think that Dean said the reverse is beyond me.

I'd have to say the overwhelming majority of my county's DEC is comprised of Christians...and whites.

6. A poll showed that the majority of Christians were Dem
The right is doing a nice job of peeling off many Christians with their constant talk of what is moral and what is not.

By the way, I understand what Dean meant. The Republican party is full of white christians. The Democratic party is full of white christians, but also, nonwhite christians, atheists, agnostics, etc.
