Deep Throat critics are protecting corrupt current administration


Editor: I can't believe that anyone would seriously consider Mark Felt anything but a hero. He had a lifelong career with the government and knew all about the chain of command. He also knew that in this instance the chain was too corrupted to work as it was meant to. Mr. Felt put his country first and did the right thing.
I can think of only two reasons to vilify Mr. Felt's role in outing the criminal element in the Republican Party. One is blind allegiance to the party and the other is an attempt to scare anyone else from blowing the whistle on the current corrupt administration. We don't need a Deep Throat as enough of the damning information already is out there. Half of the Americans know it as does the rest of the world. What we do need is a media that isn't in the pocket of the Republican elite. Yes, some of the reporters might lean left in their private lives, but they are bound to report what the "boss" dictates and the "boss" is big corporations that benefit highly from the Republican administration.

Wake up, America. We still can save ourselves. We just have to stop taking the lies that the Republican officeholders and their shills spoonfeed us!

I wasn't so fortunate the last time I sent a letter to my local rag. I wrote about PNAC and they published it with the header "Bush Frightens Her" -- which had nothing to do with the contents of the letter and made me look like an idiot.

5. actually bush and co scare the crap out of me

but those that aren't afraid of what they are capable of are truly out of touch with reality. All in all it was a nasty, although predictably right-wing, thing to do.
