Who was the chair of the DNC in
1992? 2000? How about the RNC in 1980? 88? 92? What was the most controversial thing they said? Who ran against Clinton in the primaries in 92? Against Mondale in 84? What was the most controversial thing they said? Maybe it's just me, but it seems the media are trying to make things important that, in the past, have just been footnotes.(and ignoring things of great importance) We have a fight, but it's not with each other, it's not even with rank and file republicans. Our fight is with a few radical facists, who happen to be running our country, and many Americam corporations right now. Like I said, maybe it's just me.

1. You're right, most people didn't know who the DNC or RNC chairmen were
except for really political folks.

I think the advent of 24 hour news and then,of course, the internet made all of us much more aware of the behind the scenes stuff.

2. Dean reflects the majority of rank-and-file Democrats.
Never has a DNC chair ever had such a strong grassroots support for his election. He's chair because he was blunt and honest with Democrats when he said this war would be a disaster for this country. He was right. He's a breath of fresh air. And he's raising more money then any other Democratic chair has ever done during an off-election year.

His comments will only serve to contrast and paint this administration as a bunch of out-of-touch incompetents who serve the interests of the wealthiest 2%. No wonder why the inside the beltway Republican talking heads are freaking out...they have a real Democrat who's not afraid to tell it like it is.

4. I believe that CNN announced that they were going to do more news
and less debate.

To fill the gap they need to create more news.

6. Nobody remembers them
But they weren't Howard Dean. The media and those who pull their strings can't handle the truth.

7. Ron Brown died in a plane crash. Gee ...
Can you think of other Dems who've died prematurely ... in plane crashes ... or otherwise?

Maybe that's why there's been a dearth of great Democratic nominees in recent decades. The good ones are, well, dead. If I were an actuary or a political historian, I would love to research the odds.
