Rethug quotes of the week on the theme of POWER
Received by email from DNC.

"Every president grabs for more power. What's different it seems to me is the acquiescence of Congress." Former Republican Rep. Mickey Edwards (R-OK) Washington Post, 5/26/05

"I would remind my friends that you may one day be in the minority and you won't want to be roughshod over." Former Republican House Minority Leader Bob Michel (R-IL) Washington Post, 5/26/05

"Anybody with a brain knew once Republicans got their hand on the wheels ... there was going to be punishment because they felt silenced and slighted when Democrats were in control...It's unfortunate." Former Republican Sen. Alan Simpson (R-WY) Washington Post, 5/26/05

1. Revenge seems to be a theme that keeps coming up with repubs.
Someone recently said the hunting of Clinton was revenge for Nixon. People with this attitude should be in an institution. They should not be in positions of power. These are pathetic little people who never grew up. I say can them.

Republican Congressman Henry Hyde made some surprising comments Thursday on the impeachment hearings of President Bill Clinton. He now says Republicans may have gone after Clinton to retaliate for the impeachment of Richard Nixon. Hyde is stepping down after this term."
