GOP pollster: Kerry/Edwards is as tough as they could get
"Looking at it right now, I'd worry about a Kerry-Clark ticket or a Kerry-Edwards ticket," said GOP pollster Ed Goeas, referring to retired Army Gen. Wesley K. Clark and North Carolina Sen. John Edwards as potential vice presidential nominees. "I think Kerry-Edwards is about as tough as they could get. I still think Bush would win, but that might be the best in this field."

MUCH LESS those he believes will be the best opposition to Bush/Cheney?

Answer: They wouldn't....don't listen to them for any reason

5. That talk undercuts Edwards's ability to win. It makes people think a vote
for Kerry is a vote for Edwards as VP, or that Edwards is only good enough to be VP. Same with Clark.

Why couldn't he say Kerry AND Clark on a ticket, or Kerry AND Edwards on a ticket?

9. why would you post this ?
this is from the gop and they claim bush would still win. and focus on kerry winning the nomination before jumping on vp choices. i still think edwards has an equal or greater chance at winning the nomination because of the southern states coming up. why get ahead of yourself ?

10. Fair enough, but I want to establish the Kerry-Edwards meme
In advnace of Feb. 3rd. It's something I think people should at least be mulling in the back of their minds.

14. that's stupid, it weakens our candidate
Edited on Sat Jan-24-04 12:43 PM by JI7
and only hurts him. and you only alienate people. it's as if he can't win on his own. believe, me, it's not one you want to spread. what you should do is focus on the military record and his record of supporting veterans. and his job creation plans. that's what has been working and will continue to. you are pushing something the gop wants and that is never good.

11. Edwards is a little to conservative for my tastes but I would
go for a Clark\Kerry Kerry\Clark

That would get me all excited in a delightfully naughty/evil way! I know the GOP would be lining up and jumping off buildings with a Clark\Kerry Kerry\Clark ticket.

Yeah Hoo!

13. Frankly, Kerry, Clark and Edwards ...
... are all fine with me. I worry a little about Clark being a newbie politician. He is showing an impressive learning curve but the long knives are out for him already.

I think if Kerry/Edwards teams up and then Clark campaigns with them as the future Sec of Defense who will lead us to peace in Iraq as he did Kosovo - I think that would make the repukes mess their collective pants.
