5. Only on nominees who are worse whackjobs than the
ones they just agreed to confirm.

Hmm, so a nominee can want to undo the New Deal ... but they're OK. And a nominee can side almost exclusively with corporations over individuals and ... they're OK.

Seems to me the definition of "EXTREME" just got pushed WAY to the right today.

6. They didn't "agree to confirm them"!
They agreed to let them come to a vote. Big difference.

9. Effectively the same result, though
if there's an up or down vote in which a simple majority carries the decision and Senate Republicans-- who hold the majority-- vote in lockstep as they are told.

11. We'll see about that
Since the Democrats can now focus on talking about these judges instead of filibusters we just might swing enough of those moderate Republicans to vote DOWN a couple of these judges.

7. Yeah? Well then use the filibuster tomorrow for Owens and Brown.
There's your "extraordinary" circumstance right there.

12. And as soon as that happens...
NUCLEAR OPTION!! NUCLEAR OPTION!! NUCLEAR OPTION!!

To me it looks more like a postponement. Plus the Pugs get at least three wacko judges installed in the meantime.
