2. What is replacing it?
I really think they are missing a bet by not picking up non-AAR liberal shows;

Guy James
Thom Hartmann
Stephanie Miller
Bob Kincaid
Joe Vecchio

They could make a complete broadcast day out of non AAR Liberals!

15. Sirius Hasn't Announce What Will Replace AAR
But since they have two Wingnut streams and are committed to actual fairness and balance, look for them to fill that stream with folks like the ones you list (and my personal hope, that they also get DEMOCRACY NOW! on a daily basis.)

4. I'm listening to AAR on Sirus as I type
Edited on Mon May-23-05 11:25 AM by tridim
When I first turned it on this morning it did a stream scan and I thought well this is it, AAR is gone. I was getting ready to stream online and AAR kicked in.

I really wish AAR and Sirius would just be honest and give us some real information. I've even heard rumors that Sirius will continue to stream AAR for users that want it. Has anyone else heard that?

Edit: Mine also says "talk" but it's streaming AAR programming.

5. If it's gone, so is my subscription as of today.
That's the only reason I got Sirius.

I thought they were going to be with Sirius until June. Ah well, I guess I'll have to switch to XM earlier than I planned.

7. I don't think Sirius is the problem
It is AAR that left Sirius for XM. Therefore, Sirius is getting the short end of the stick and AAR is actually losing listeners.

9. Regardless of whether Sirius is the "problem" without AAR, I have no
use for Sirius. I'm not going to pay for a subscription when the only reason for my subscription is gone.

14. I understand.
I'm in the same boat as you are. I have to wait till August to ditch Sirius cause that's when my sub ends.

I'm just pissed at AAR because now I have to buy XM equipment to listen.

17. I Don't Blame Sirius OR AAR
Frankly, the fact that XM thought enough of AAR to basically steal them from Sirius shows that AAR is an asset that they were willing to pay a premium for. While it has inconvenienced us as loyal Sirius listeners, we DO want AAR to succeed -- and this deal will likely be used to get more terrestial stations nationwide, which would be the optimal solution for all.

That, and I bit the bullet and got an XM unit for AAR (and baseball), so I guess that makes me bi-satellite radio.

18. "bi-satellite" LMAO
Yes, I want AAR to succeed too. I just don't want to shell out more $$$ for more Sat. radio equipment.

Oh well, it looks like I'll have to.

8. Does XM stream the entire AAR lineup yet?
This crap is so confusing and disheartening. Why can't the players just tell us the plan is for AAR on satellite? I feel like my chain is being yanked on a daily basis.
