Edited on Wed May-18-05 02:29 PM by pbartch
is GREAT!!! He outlined ALL THE SENATE RULES they would be breaking if they get rid of the Filibuster.

I wish we could get a copy of that so we could post it here and forward it to others.

I assume you can get transcript from CSPAN, or from Ted's office...at least the list.

3. I just called his office. They are VERY BUSY right now!!
I can't imagine why.............

Anyway, I'm going to try to track this down. The way he went down the list of ALL THE SENATE RULES that would be broken was compelling.

Frist Stumbles at Nuclear Option Showdown
Wednesday, 18 May 2005

Sen. Bill Frist (R-TN) has turned another key. He has armed the nuclear option by
opening Senate debate on Priscilla Owen's nomination to the U.S. Court of Appeals,
Fifth Circuit. Al Gore and his Current channel crew are covering the action. Here are
excerpts from a rush transcript of "Constitutional Poker." from Wednesday afternoon.

FRED DALTON THOMPSON: Hello, I'm Fred Dalton Thompson. Welcome to
"Constitutional Poker," the show that makes a game out of America's destiny.
Joining me this afternoon is Dan Rather. Welcome back, Dan.
