NY Post: "Brit Fries Senators In Oil"
Best headline of the day. I wonder how they snuck that one past Rupert?

http://www.nypost.com/news/worldnews/46783.htm

Lots of play over on Google this morning about Gorgeous George's goring of the junior Senator from Minnesota.

Coleman's beating yesterday reminded me of that famous moment in the Senate when Joe McCarthy finally went down in flames. "Have you no sense of decency, sir at long last? Have you no sense of decency?"

1. "I met Saddam Hussein exactly the same number of times as Donald Rumsfeld"
I missed that part! :D

"As a matter of fact, I met Saddam Hussein exactly the same number of times as Donald Rumsfeld met with him," Galloway said, referring to meetings the defense secretary had during the Reagan administration.

9. Yes, here
"As a matter of fact, I have met Saddam Hussein exactly the same number of times as Donald Rumsfeld met him. The difference is Donald Rumsfeld met him to sell him guns and to give him maps the better to target those guns. I met him to try and bring about an end to sanctions, suffering and war, and on the second of the two occasions, I met him to try and persuade him to let Dr Hans Blix and the United Nations weapons inspectors back into the country - a rather better use of two meetings with Saddam Hussein than your own Secretary of State for Defence made of his.

"I was an opponent of Saddam Hussein when British and Americans governments and businessmen were selling him guns and gas. I used to demonstrate outside the Iraqi embassy when British and American officials were going in and doing commerce.

7. It was a total smackdown! I'm glad it's getting press this morning.
Maybe little normie feels like he needs a morning-after pill.

I particularly enjoyed this paragraph:

"Coleman and other senators were caught flat-footed by the ferocity of Galloway's counter-offensive. They cut short the questioning of him and abruptly stopped the hearing."

SEE? They just are preconditioned by now - NOT to expect anyone to stand up to them, no less with the vehemence and flourish that Galloway used. They're just completely unaccustomed to it. So used to just being able to swagger all over the place any which way they please, pushing anybody around whom they feel like pushing around. Because that's how it's gone for them up til now. Everybody either rolls over, bends over, or plays dead - or in true Helsinki syndrome fashion - joins the bad guys out of fear or brainwashing or resignation. They're just not used to this. They have no comeback for it. They have no talking points or prepared defense strategies to use against someone who actually fights back. This is something they just do not recognize. They WERE caught flat-footed. How DARE anyone talk back to them and use their own in-yer-face against them? Well, Galloway dared. I hope the Democrats were taking notes.

PLEASE - PLEASE - PLEASE see the following thread - we HAVE to exhort our warriors to fight even harder now - and to be strong - and to be BRAVE! AND to SEIZE THE TIME!!! DUers - "The Galloway Offensive" - PLEASE call a Democrat about it!

12. Exactly
They weren't expecting his testimony and thought they had control of the situation but weren't expecting his testimony. That's why he talked so fast and loaded out everything at once because he knew they weren't prepared and couldn't do anything about it. It was pure genius.

14. another echo of McCarthy hearings
When he stated "I am not now, nor have I ever been..."
course he finished with "an oil trader", but I have no doubt that selection of words was deliberate.
