Why is Bush trying to silence Cuban terrorist Posada?
Posada has been in this country illegally since March. The U.S. governbment showed no interest in him until he started shooting off his mouth to reporters.

How many illegal aliens are whisked away in Blackhawk helicopters to air force bases -- where access to them can be restricted?

Posada is ex-CIA. He probably knows where all the bodies are buried and who planted them there. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he died of "natural causes" soon -- as in "he would shut up so naturally he was killed."

Interviewed at a luxury condo overlooking Biscayne Bay, a dapper Posada said he didn't think the United States was looking very hard for him.

"At first I hid a lot," he told the paper, describing his illegal entry into the United States in March. "Now I hide a lot less."

By midafternoon Tuesday he was in custody; federal agents whisked him away by Black Hawk helicopter to Homestead Air Reserve Base.

Until Tuesday, Washington wasn't saying much.

The official silence may have a lot to do with Posada's former close association with the CIA. After the failure of the Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961, the CIA instructed Posada to "establish a training camp for guerrilla operations against Castro," according to declassified government documents. He reportedly became an expert bombmaker and helped mount clandestine raids against Cuba.

1. Maybe he knows too much about Poppy...
The CBS news this morning mentioned he was involved in the Bay of Pigs "Fiasco" (their word) & was a CIA operative. And that was the good part of his resume!

Hey, a guy that old--he might have a bad heart.

2. If he gets shipped back to Cuba
It will be to Gitmo, never to be heard from again.

3. Wolf Blitzer is going to report on this in a few minutes
Except he seems to have it completely backwards.
He asked whether Bush has caved to pressure from Cuba and Venezuela. Yeah, right.
