Just when the f**k will there be MASSIVE protest and fighting in the
street? I say any day now; although it would still be too long overdue.

since that would be more to the point wouldn't it.

20. I know the neighborhood where some very
evil REpublicans live...

That's actually a pretty good idea, time to protest their homes... so their kids can see what hypocrites and sell outs their parents are...

hmmm.....

3. When it goes down in Berkeley or SF
I'll be there. When I moved out to the Bay Area three years ago, I told all my friends and family to think of me when the 60's return and there are mass protests in the streets of San Francisco. At the time, many (especially my mom) thought i was just another naive 20something. Now when I talk to her, she tells me she thinks I right.

7. Molly Ivins today...
Molly Ivins: “Let's Drop the "Lynch Newsweek" Bull”
17 May 2005

In her column today about the Newsweek retraction, Molly Ivins tells the truth about who’s to blame…

“…let's drop the "Lynch Newsweek" bull. Seventeen people have died in these riots. They didn't die because of anything Newsweek did -- the riots were caused by what our government has done.

Get your minds around it. Our country is guilty of torture. To quote myself once more: "What are you going to do about this? It's your country, your money, your government. You own this country, you run it, you are the board of directors. They are doing this in your name. The people we elected to public office do what you want them to. Perhaps you should get in touch with them."

So, what are we doing about this? Newsweek may have slanted right of late, but we can’t stand by and watch another news source slide down the tubes and take the fall for the extremists currently running the show. We need to keep talking about this... LOUDER!

9. Yeah, it is way over due
I feel that the mention of a draft in June (if it comes)will finally get the sheeples irate enough to 'protest'.

I have actually been a bit surprised that people began griping as soon as gas went over $2/gal. It shows how tight things have become for those in the middle class. Even my rich repug relatives are getting really peeved at this * idiot they've backed.

11. When? Never.
Everyone keeps wondering what will be the tipping point to get Americans into the street. I know some of you hate the term, but the 'American sheeple' just don't give a damn. The American sheeple don't give a damn about the genocide in Darfur, lies that caused the invasion of Iraq, government debt that is being passed onto our great grandchildren, dismantling of government programs, the lack of separation of church and state, and on and on ad nauseum. As long as there is internet porn, deep dish pizza and cable and reality shows.....

12. There won't be, unfortunately.
Sheeple are too comfortable in their homes, with their SUV's, adult beverage and 600 channels of distracted entertainment on satellite TV.

They won't care unless they think the American Idol vote is rigged, not the Presidential vote. Then there will be an outcry like you have never seen.

By the time they do care, it will be too late to do anything.

we are slowly making into their sinking ship. Bush was at 37% or some such approval rating. Just hold your breath or take a break or something.

17. I feel like a broken record sometimes, but
it'll be when the draft is reinstated and middle class kids get dragged off to the desert in the middle east to get shot at.

I lived through that time in Viet Nam when I saw what the draft did. It got people in the streets.....and they were not just waving signs. There was fucking revolution in the air.

Without a draft, we are doomed to continue this looney, ill-fated, faux imperialistic craziness.

When there is some sort of support from the Dem establishment...
on a large scale, or when a movement leader arises who will inspire people to protest in mass numbers. Some major social disturbance, such as the draft mentioned above, would be the only other catalyst.

23. Just stand on your neighbor corner with a home made sign that
states your opinion. Do it every morning at that hour when most people are going to work, they will pay more attention then in the afternoon. Change the message every now and then. You will be surprised how many people will look for you each day and take away the message. If just one person from each 100 home development did this we would get the word out very fast.

26. i've been doing my best!
every protest i go to, from 50 to 5,000, the people seem angier and angrier.

i am ready to riot. i have been ready to riot for over two years now. i just don't want to be the only one rioting, as it would defeat the purpose.

just call me up whenever there's a time or place. or better yet, i'll set the time and place, if other people agree to come. ;)

31. Out of all the ignorant things to say...
Once you've seen fighting in the streets, you'll learn that that is the last thing you'll ever want to see. If you want to destroy this country, go out and give them a reason to declare martial law and crack-down on any avenue we have to communicate. If you want blood, go join the Army, they'll give you as much as you want. If you want to fight Americans, go join the Iraqi insurgency.

Protesting is fine but advocating violence is not what we are about. I have seen fighting and trust me buddy, you don't want to see it. There is nothing honorable in violence, you learn that real quick.

Who are you going to attack anyway? You going to beat anyone with a Bush/Cheney sticker? Are you going to dig up lists of Republicans and shoot them or beat them? Are you going to call them cockroaches and call for thier eradication? Get real. Simply because things are not going our way does not mean we go out and start a war. That's the Republican solution and look at what a big fucking mess they have created.

We need leadership not mob rule. We need people of character and reason that can echo the demands of the millions of people who have no voice. We need to reinstate our Democracy and adhere to the principles of freedom that have struggled to remain alive for over 200 years ago. Those men who wrote our Constitution had already gone thorugh a war and knew something about reason. Learn from them and then lead. But do not lead into war because I can guantee you, you will do more harm than good.
