Ok. Senator Levin is losing me very quickly-Refuting Galloway
on CNN now....on Wolf Blitzer.

He just linked Galloway via a partner to the oil food program.

Some Democrats just make me want to vomit!

2. Coleman and the repugs
don't have ONE SHREAD OF EVIDENCE that Galloway's friend and partner EVER gave him one thin dime........

Put up or STFU Coleman!

3. Levin shot Galloway's credibility....without anything but a link
Edited on Tue May-17-05 04:26 PM by FrenchieCat
to his "Pakistani" business partner.

Levin made murky was seemed clear to me. That the oil for Food program is nothing but a diversion to get back at the UN and some of it's leaders.

Galloway asking about the missing 8 billion dollars under the U.S. watch and calling for an investigation of the first 14 weeks of U.S. control of Iraq just fell on deaf ears.

Levin really really disappointed me.

Did Levin vote for the pack of lies known as the IWR?

6. Yep...saw that too.
Guy was allegedly riping off hundreds of thousands of dollars....but his shoes are falling apart.

He must have invested all of it in the American Stock Market....back in 1999!

5. I Asked About Him Earlier When I Saw The Hearing
He was very combative with Galloway! I started a thread this morning as soon as it came on and saw Levin questioning Galloway.

He wasn't very friendly and I was very puzzled because he told Galloway he didn't vote for the War.

Go Figure????

11. Levin has done a one-eighty
I have heard him speak very eloquently in support of the UN and against the war.

He has changed his attitude significantly in recent months. Methinks there are forces at play of which I know not...

13. But WHAT???
Is he up for re-election? He was always one of the more Liberal Senators, but you couldn't tell it by his actions today!

Very weird.

20. So right - see my post below
The party is weak and completely lacking in direction. If they were really interested in serving the country, they would be working 24/7 to get Smirk and all of his minions sent from Washington to Levenworth. Instead they are appeasers of the worst kind.

8. Observation from a no media type
perhaps Levin is trading here. The '08 president to keep the current cokechimp from total embarrassment? or....

Levin knows these facts will be brought up by the thugs anyway....so he might as well do the "tough talk" now before the hyennas attack?

25. "tough talk"
i don't care what Levin says about Galloway ...

"tough talk" would be talking about the 1 million Iraqis killed by US, i mean UN, sanctions ... "tough talk" would be talking about US arms sales to Iraq and how corporate profits are what always drives US foreign policy ... "tough talk" would focus on the 100,000 Iraqis we've killed since the invasion began and would tell the truth that there is no end in sight ... and "tough talk" would acknowledge that bush is in Iraq to benefit his corporate friends and that there will be no peace until bush is able to gain full control of Iraq as a puppet state ...

the hyenas will attack ... but Levin was talking tough about the messenger while he conveniently side-stepped the truth in Galloway's message about the US role in Iraq ... i expected nothing less from him ...

9. No wonder we always lose the framing battle.
Unless the Democrats have absolutely irrefutable evidence on the guy, they should force the Repugs to do their own dirty work. Why Democrats assist them on items like this is totally beyond me.

We've got big problems.

18. Bring it on
Carl Levin has been a real champion for progressive causes for a long time.

You'll have to go through me and tens of thousands of other Michigan Democrats before you'll take him down over one issue.

22. However GOOD such progressive causes may be ...
Levin's accolades etc. by lobbyists supporting Israel is much sweeter ... like I'd bet money. It has nothing to do with telling the truth.

vocabulary in Washington, anyone who does it is in for a very rough ride with those guys.

The evil doers in modern Nazi America are not the Jews (40s Nazi Germany) but those nasty Liberals. You can blame any horrid occurrence on a liberal democrat and be lauded. What a Great Imperialistic Nation we have proved to be?!?

16. My comments on Levin are based on a CNN interview....
with Wolf ticket.

Levin's behavior during the hearings and all of Galloways Shot through the bow comments will most likely be replayed on c-span after the Senate and the house are done....I imagine.

Those who saw the hearings on C-Span...must have seen it on C-Span-3....which, of course, I don't get.

4 of Galloway's Glorious minutes are available for viewing here...

Galloway was supercalifragilisticespialidelicious!

19. That's why the party, and the nation, are doomed
If this had happened the other way around, each and every Repuke would be siding with Galloway, and the Dem playing the Coleman part would be run out of office within two weeks. Instead, our guys are on there defending Coleman and attacking the truth-teller.

We are living in a one-party state, under fascism, and the next generation in the US is going to be extremely painful.

Or did Levin wait until Galloway was long gone to come out with his comments now? For shame, Carl. You're better than that. I expect it from a weasel like Coleman.

after the hearings.

Levin really did totally disappoint me on that one.

He could have given Galloway credibility on his statements of how the Iraq War turned out....but no! Just slammed him the whole way.

28. Galloway didn't just tear the Repubs a new asshole.....
He showed the entire Senate (Democrats & Republicans) to be a bunch of FRAUDS whose sole concern is covering each others ass and protecting THE SYSTEM from ANYONE pulling back the curtain exposing OUR representatives naked LYING and POSTURING for the cameras.

If WE REALLY had ANY representatives in Washington, today's TRUTH TELLING performance wouldn't be such a special thing, but would happen DAILY.

Carl Levin and ALL Democratic Senators and Representatives SHOULD BE ASHAMED that a Scottie had to come in and show them how it is DONE.

THANK YOU, GALLOWAY.
AND ALL DEMOCRATS, go to your corners and THINK about your DUTY and TRUTH!
