Two points on the Newsweek story
- Newsweek never retracted the story about the Koran, it retracted the part about the official. It apologized for that, but it never retraced the parts about the Koran being desecrated. These are real alegations that are still being investigated. Newsweek was right when they wrote about this issue, but their contact ended up forgetting where he saw the information. He never said he didn't see it. The media is spinning this and making it seem as if the whole story was retracted and that these allegation were never real. They are still being investigated, and Newsweek said that because these allegations are still being investiagted the can not say that these allegation have been found to be true or false. They apologized for that mistake, and that's all they needed to apologize for. This issue of the Koran will not die and we are making it easy for the Muslim Extremists to gain new members. We need to make sure these allegations are still in the media, until an investigation is completed. If we do not show it, then we can never solve the problem.
- Also you know the Pentagon forced Newsweek to retract the story, and is just bull shiting the people now with their claim of a free and independent investigation. Our media is a joke.

And you're right.. there really isn't such a thing as a "free and independent investigation" anymore, is there? :(

"Memo? Britain? Cabinet? Duh... never heard of it. Not familiar. Not familiar..."
:dunce:
Worthless sacks of shit, the lot of them.
:grr:
My prediction: In tomorrow's WaPo, HOwie Kurtz devotes his entire column to this story. I'll put up three-to-one odds! Any takers? Show me yer money! I'm ready to retire!

Hell, might as well get some use out of this goddam mess...

ON EDIT: Well, Duh Me. I was wrong. Check out the WaPo--Howie's ALREADY on it this evening. It's so important to him that he actually wrote his own material for once. Asslicking POS. Actually, don't check it out; ignore the scumsucker.
:grr:
