Idea: Lets Preemptively Jail Bush and Cheney
Edited on Mon May-16-05 12:33 PM by dave29
Why wait until he is convicted of crimes when the evidence is overwhelming that he commited them in the first place? Sure, we may have no agreed upon smoking gun, but I'd hate for these folks to continue to potentially commit crimes when we could so easily just pre-emptively strike and put them behind bars.

I realize innocent until proven guilty is the cornerstone of our Justice System, but, nobody else seems to think so, so to hell with it.

Who supports my Doctrine of Preemptive Jailing?

1. Take it one step further.
Find a courageous judge to issue an arrest warrant for the charge of, let's say, "disorderly conduct". This is an easy catch-all charge.
After at least a couple of days in jail, pissing their pants, maybe an "attitude adjustment" will have taken place.
Also, there is always oak trees and rope.

3. Go for it.
What do you suppose the Secret Service will be doing when you attempt it??

8. Guts? Let's see if you have the guts to do it
Go and type up an arrest warrant. If you're unsure where to serve it, here is a hint:

Please report back and let us know how it goes!

9. What about citizens arrest?
Does it apply to the President?

10. Do you think that anyone has the balls (or stupidity) to try this?

11. balls vs. stupidity
a fine line indeed ;)

I would never attempt this, obviously - I am just trying to make the point that preemptive doctrines-- be they for war, or prosecuting potential war criminals-- are idiotic at best.

7. Maybe, but
politics is not part of the job of a Secret Service man. Their job is to protect the President, and that they will do. Like it or not, the current President of the Untied States is George W. Bush. They will protect him.
