Seeking Info on Georgia Redistricting
I've been reading mixed things on whether or not this hurts Congressman John Barrow (D).

I know it places his home outisde his district (12th) but what I want to know is whether the 12th is more repuke or more Democratic. I read it has more African-Americans than the old 12th but also that puke Senator Johnny Isakson won area the new 12th but lost the old. Did * win the area of the new 12th as well?

1. More repuke. We're screwed.
Found this:

Freshman Rep. John Barrow (D), who eked out a victory in November in Georgia’s 12th district, has a problem. Not only is Barrow’s home outside his newly drawn district, but he now has fewer Democratic voters to appeal to.

and this:

"I have read about this claim Republcians should be able to add two seats to their majority in the US House"

and this:

"With either of these maps, John Barrow, the congressman here, is the big loser," said University professor Charles Bullock, an expert in Southern politics.

2. He's screwed
if he faces Charlie Norwood, repubican, which he will if the redistricting is approved. This guy Norwood is pratically worshiped by his followers, and they will go to the ends of the earth to make sure he wins. Unless Barrow has some money behind him, and a lot of volunteers, he doesn't stand a chance. It cuts a lot of his democrat constituents out of his district.

4. I think he plans to run again in the 12th not against Norwood
even though he doesn't live in the 12th anymore.
