Bush is the President of the Red States of America
I have posted before that Bush in not my President. He has just proven this by closing bases in the northeast and moving many military units down south. Why is Bush leaving the northeastern states unprotected? Does he not care about blue states? He only cares about red states. Therefore, he is not my President. He is merely the President of the Red States of America.

2. I've heard him talk about the blue states and Dems as "Those people"
and "they". * agrees with your post. That's what I wish republicans would remember about the Clinton era, it was obvious that he cared about every American regardless of class, race, sexual preference or political party.

3. Do you really feel safer having military bases around?
The southern states can have their military bases. It's just another sign that the northeastern states can support themselves when they have to, but the red states need federal pork like military bases.

4. We are militarizing the red states too much
Giving the red states all of our military might is not a good idea. Think about it. The red states are the bible belt and now the military power in this country. Not a good thing. I think the northern states should secede and become part of Canada before this BRAC takes affect. Otherwise, we'll soon be a southern dominated church/state country.

7. I've said it before
* knows that this country will draw North-South lines again.
That is why he is dismantling the military in the North and increasing it in the South.
People should be very afraid of this latest move.
It isn't a mistake that he is touting "The Western White House".
He is readying the country.
Why would he relocate Walter Reed to West Virginia?
That doesn't make any sense when you think of all of the sensitive medical equipment that will have to be moved.
Unless they are readying themselves for the inevitable.

8. like it our not, he's our president on paper...
The Constitution puts him over all of us and it will take all of us, in every State, to push him and his fellow travellers out of government.

It's a purple nation. Don't let the rethugs use this red state blue state meme.

10. It's not about leaving the north or upper midwest "unprotected"
Edited on Sat May-14-05 03:53 PM by kenny blankenship
It's about claiming the military for the south and mountain west.

The military is supposed to reflect America, but it would suit Rove and others plotting multigenerational domination of the country by the GOP much better to have a military that reflects only the GOP. They want a military that is closely related to their party, which feels an overwhelming affinity to their party and to their party's political base, which resides in that geographical L of the south and west. And on the other hand they want a geographical base that is closely related in turn to the military, and feels ownership over it.

You let them do this and one day you'll be more sorry than you can imagine. These people do not care how they gain or hold onto power. When "a military option" looks feasible and no other way exists to gain or stay in power then they will exercise that option. BINDING THE MILITARY TO THEIR BASE AND THEIR BASE TO THE MILITARY IS THE KEY.
