Part of my letter to Nelson and Hagel on the Bolton nomination:
I urge you to reject John Bolton's nomination as UN Ambassador -- and to convince your colleagues to do the same. The bush** administration has given the world the opinion that we are a country adrift being led by a bunch of moral bankrupts and lying incompetants. Sending Bolton to the United Nations would be rock-solid confirmation of that opinion. It is time that we took stock of our country and remembered what it was that made it great, a magnet for all the oppressed, the downtrodden, and all those who knew that if they came to this country they would find a better life. What this country had that put us head and shoulders above the rest of the world was a sense of integrity and decency. We don't have that anymore. Nor do we have any credibility with the other nations with which we share this planet. We're now a nation who starts wars based on lies and deception. And we promote the incompetant and the corrupt to high positions. Our leaders cannot be trusted because at the end of the day you find out that 1) no, there were no WMDs; 2) Jessica Lynch did not fight off a batallion of Iraqi soldiers; 3) Al Quaeda did not have the coordinates to Air Force One after bush** hightailed it out of the classroom to parts unknown; 4) a British Air Force jet did not spot Air Force One on the way to Iraq with the fake turkey; 5) the plan to attack Iraq was made with Tony Blair a year before the action was taken, even though we had a thousand assurances that all we would try to solve the fake crisis by every 'diplomatic' means possible; and most importantly 6) MISSION NOT ACCOMPLISHED!

Please, do not send another man cut from the same cloth that gave us all of the above to the United Nations.
