1. Blacks drop from 23 to 14% of new recruits--they oppose the war (large
percentage)

3. Drag Racing.
Look up the Don Schumacher Racing Team. One fueld dragster and two Pro Stock Motorcycles are sponsored by the Army. This is a big ticket racing operation we are talking about.

Your tax dollars at work.

6. I don't believe one more soldier should die in Iraq for oil but..
If the NASCAR/Rodeo rednecks can't see the truth of what this war is about and they are willing to send their children off to die for the cause why should I be concerned over it?

Hopefully, the soldiers they replace will come home full of the truth and ready to scream it from the rooftops. Our soldiers need to come home where they belong, now. Soon enough the ignorant but willing will be singing the same tune. "We gotta get out of this place"

I have wondered fairly often if the answer to ending the war isn't to send those that are unwilling to examine it closely enough to realize what a travesty it is. Maybe it's time to test that theory.

5. The Army loves to waste tax payers money
The Army spends millions on recruiting (the worst duty in the Army). All of the generals, colonels and Sergeant Major's have never figured out how to keep troops in the Army. Here's a tip for them that wont cost any money: If they would simply take better care of the Soldiers (and their families), offer them better training and better leadership, guess what? They would not have to waste millions of taxpayer dollars on recruiting. We have an Army that is top heavy with generals and colonels, and doesn't have enough infantrymen. The Army makes life as an infantryman so miserable that they cannot retain them. All the while making life for senior officers as comfortable as possible. The Army spent millions on black berets for all of its Soldiers. The black berets did not increase combat readiness one single bit, but they do look cool. We lost a great spokesman for the common Soldier when COL. Hackworth passed away. If we had more like him in the senior ranks today, the Army and the country would be much better off.
