will voino-bitch vote "yeah" or "nay" on the floor now?
Considering that Voinovich ripped into Bolton and called him a disgrace to the diplomatic corps, yet voted him out of committee saying he deserved an "up-or-down" vote, will he now vote "up" for some one who he's basically said is an abomination of an individual? Or will he show some conviction and vote "no" on the guy who he said would have been fired for the things he did if he had been in corporate america?

1. Voinobitch will vote no apparently
He just didn't have the balls to do it in committee. (Weenie ... )

2. It is all completely scripted
He will vote no on the floor but voted yes to get Bolton there.
And he (Voinovich) knows that the repugs have the #s so
Bolton will be confirmed.

3. He voted Yay on committee, why would he change to Nay on....
...the senate floor? Not even sexual abuse of ex-wives seems to matter to these repukes.

5. Voinovich caved to Repuke pressures
but hopes he can save face with his constituents by voting no on the floor. Like no one is following what is happening and will realize what he did.

7. Technically, they didn't vote on Bolton today
They took a pass. They wouldn't have had the votes, getting a stalemate at best, so they voted instead to basically do nothing---he gets sent to the floor without recommendation. Luger gave dissenting Repugs an out---a way to avoid voting no and pissing-off the rat-fucking crazies at 1600. What non-insane people get is more time to discredit this loser. I guess we'll have to be happy with that.

It ain't over yet.

6. It's quite safe for Voinovich to vote against Bolton now
And he probably will. It will take five more Republican Senators and total discipline from the Democrats to stop Bolton's confirmation now, and I just don't see that happening. Voinovich grabbed the spotlight, did a little grandstanding, but in the end will do nothing to jeopardize this horrid appointment.

But at least he got his mug on the teevee.
