Schumer Nominates Conservative Anti-Choice Judge
From the Law Journal of May 12th.

Schumer Recommends Vitaliano for Eastern District Slot

Acting Supreme Court Justice Eric N. Vitaliano of Staten Island has been recommended to President George W. Bush by U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer to fill a vacancy at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District. Justice Vitaliano, a conservative Democrat who opposes abortion and supports the death penalty, was a state assemblyman for 18 years before his election to the Civil Court in 2001. Under a bipartisan deal worked out two years ago, Mr. Schumer was authorized to pick the nominee for the next Eastern District opening. Initially, he recommended former Staten Island District Attorney William L. Murphy, who withdrew for health reasons. - Daniel Wise

Please contact Senator Schumer's office and let them know that we will not tolerate this. He does not get a free pass because of his popularity in NY, and his likely reelection.

5. Chuck and labor
Lots of Wall Street firms in Chuck's neck of the woods, and capital and labor don't mix.

7. Just because he is opposed to women's human rights?
Pah!! That's no reason to oppose his nomination. In fact, maybe Chuck can find a KKK-ascribing judge to nominate too? Or, maybe an anti-Semite? Go for that trifecta opposition to human rights.

8. Typical Chuck Schumer
He pays lots of lip service, then he behaves like a winger.
He is also more pro-Wall Street than pro-labor.

Typical DINO.
