for his remark that Bush won the election so he can pick whomever he wants to pick as UN ambassador, without consent of the congress. What an a-hole. What happened to Minnesota, the land of Hubert Humphrey elected Norm Coleman and before that, that wrestler guy. My God what happened to that state?

After she said that Coleman asnwered a rhetorical question

with "There was an election" she reminded him that it was also an election on Senators too and then....

~"I urge my colleague from Minnesota to read Article 2 Section 2 of the Constitution....WITH advice and consent of the Senate not when he feels like it not on Monday at 3 PM..."

Coleman looked like a little kid about to cry.

2. Wellstone died 10 days before the election :-(

and the Rethugs politicized his memorial service.

That is the only reason Coleman got in.

7. I got a call from the DNC this am, looking for money.

He started his script and I interupted him and quietly said "stop, stop, stop". I told him that the dems on the hill needed to grow a spine before I could give any of them another $1. Then I wanted to correct myself and said "except for Senator Boxer - shortest person in the room and the only one doing the job they were sent there to do - she is 7 feet tall".

He actually agreed with me.

Truth is I will send a few dollars but just thought they needed to hear my indignation.
