113. To the contrary
This is the moment when Frist -- who should know better than to pull this kind of crap -- becomes the patron saint of the religious reich, alongside Saints Bush, Roberston, Falwell and Scalia. He'll have an excellent shot at the nomination come 2008.

12. I don't know when it will start but in a nutshell
he said that he would decide how long debate can last for each nominee, and then will be cut off to have a up or down vote.

He's also lying like crap about most everything he says!

Bye bye, President Frist

35. Phase II of the Bolton Debate,
My opinion this is setting the stage for the Bolton nomination vote when it gets to the floor (which seems a possibility now). By saying he's going to limit debate and call for a quick vote that'll squelch any attempt by the Dems to bring out the reasons against the nomination.

That is Republican Math. It is a complicated system of simple math with
multiplying, dividing, algorithims, algreba, geometery... mix in some chemistry and then just pull out whatever numbers you want. Democrats don't get it.

This makes them look bad and they don't give a damn. I love how Frist is looking like a madman and the democrats are so calm, cool and collected with this battle and being the rational one. Frist looks like a mad-man hungry with power and he's not getting his way. Frist interupted Byrd and he's like "let me finish my sentence." I love the route the democrats are going with this. How much you wanna bet that Frist is going to do the "nuclear option" anyways? Now he's using the Bible. Yeah!

98. Frist tried to get Byrd to admit he told Shrub --
-- he had no problem with an up or down vote.

Byrd told Frist if Frist couldn't remember what was said, neither could he. -- and that he may have agreed to an up or down vote on some of the nominees but not all -- and he certainly didn't agree to shutting down freedom of speech in the Senate.

114. I called Byrd's office and told them it was too classic, Byrd reading
from the book of Ester to Frist in the Senate. Talk about being beat at your own game. If it was Senator Byrd's objective to point out what a fool Frist is making of himself, then he succeeding resoundingly.

105. Ought to be illegal...
To do what the Rethugs do, just submit trashy laws or nominees over and over again until they get the vote they want. Fristian and the Fascists are upset because Dems are upset because these nominees were monsters the first time, they are monsters the second time...ad infinitum. Rethugs, like Al Qaeda, are patient and will keep plotting, keep trying. As with evolution in Kansas School Board. Senator Byrd wittily pointed out that there are lots of qualified judge candidates, why does * keep submitting the same ones? Jon Stewart asks the question about * Nominees, "Doesn't he know very many people?"

119. Upgraded to RealPlayer 10.5
And it still doesn't work under Linux. Everywhere else I've used realplay without a problem, so I suspected it's a problem with their HTML.

So I looked through the source and found the streams URL:
http://play.rbn.com/?url=cspan/g2cspan/live/cspan2-g2.rm&proto=rtsp&plugin=1?embed

Copy that link and, in realplay, go to File->Open Location and paste it in. That worked for me and I was able to watch the stream. A little late for todays fun, but there you go!

Tux rocks! ;)
